So I am hoping to get some cookies made today, but would like to freeze them. I have never frozen cookies before so I have a few questions:

Do you freeze the dough or bake and then freeze?

If you freeze the dough, do you roll the dough into a log, roll it into a ball or make individual balls of dough for each cookie?

Do you just wrap the dough in plastic wrap or put it into a container?

Any other helpful tips would be great as well!

Thanks!

I freeze dough and I freeze cookies. When I make generic dough like sugar cookie dough, I make small sizes that can be frozen individually. I wrap each section into saran wrap and then tin foil and then in a freezer bag. That is probably overkill but what can I say.

I also freeze cookies. I wait until they are well cooled off and put them in layers of wax paper and then wrap around saran wrap and then into containers for the freezer. I grab a container the morning of or the night before I need them. They are good just zapped for a quick second in the microwave also.
