Last year we had a problem with our freezer, it is a fridge freezer, and we had to pay £80 to get it fixed, basically the freezer had stopped freezing. We had a new kitchen put in by MFI (about 3 years ago) and wanted the fridgefreezer to be integrated, and we went with their own brand. Well we were disapointed with it, because it wasn't as big as our original fridgefreezer.
Anyway, last night DD Laura says I can hear a beep coming from the kitchen, and when we went to investigate it was the fridgefreezer alarm because the freezer temperature was rising. It is normally about -18C and it had gone to -11C. I had a feeling it was going wonky again as stuff in the freezer has been covered in frost and ice lately, and it is supposed to be a frost free one. I pressed a button marked 'super' even though I have never really knew what this button is for, and none of the literature supplied really explains it either, so now the freezer temperature is showing as -34C !! So luckily stuff in the freezer (and it is pretty full) is still frozen, but it obviously needs fixing again. To be honest I think I would rather buy a new one, not integrated, but that means I will have to have a bit of alteration work done to take the cupboard out and shorten the plinth, what a pain. Just hope it doesn't pack in altogether.
