Freezer for Ice Packs for Heat Sensitivity

My son had to wear a cooling vest for years. We specifically bought this cooling vest with Disney in mind. The ice packs freeze at 58 degrees. First Aid gave us use of a refrigerator and for the room we just needed a cooler bag with ice or the room refrig.

The resorts back then, could not offer us a freezer, neither could First Aid.

Thank you! Yes, I’m on hold with Disney trying to verify no freezer will be available and seeing what else they can offer, and if I can bring my own.

I went April 2019, and weather was in the high 80s to 90s. It was brutal. I doubt a cooling vest would do much against that.

Yes!! It’s been around a while. We bought them for him back during Star Wars Weekends. The first couple years he used a kid’s size, but soon grew into adult sized.

They are pretty heavy. Especially the adult ones because the ice packs are bigger. He was mostly using a wheelchair back then so it wasn’t as bad as when he played Buddy baseball and ran the bases wearing it.

First aid will give you unlimited bags of ice. My daughter's knee acts up sometimes and on some trips, she goes back to first aid to get ice to put on her knee whenever we sit.
