Has anyone tried to freeze cream cheese? I have several of the brick/block type products that the date is going to be out soon and I was wondering how well they froze. I know on the box it says for best results do not freeze, but I was curious if anyone could comment on how it tasted after having been frozen. TIA!

I tried freezing cream cheese once and I don't really remember the taste, but the consistency was really weird and I ended up just throwing it out.

I wouldn't freeze the cream cheese but if it's going to go bad before you can use it I'd make some cheesecakes and then freeze them!

Thanks y'all for answering my question. I am not going to freeze it but will take the suggestion and make a cheesecake this weekend and freeze that.
