We did the Freeport Dolphin Encounter in November and our family had a blast!!! We rode on a boat for about 10 min to the place where they do it. On the ride into the lagoon several dolphins were jumping out of the water. You then get out of the boat and go up to an area where they give you some do's and donts while there. Then you go sit on a wooden platform in the shape of a U and the dolphins do tricks, swim by and splash you and such. Then 3 groups of 2 people at a time get in the water and stand on a platform and wait. A dolphin comes up to each group and you get to touch them and rub them and such. I think we were IN the water about 5 min with the dolphins but it was an incredible experience and something our kids will never forget. I have pictures somewhere if you are interested in them I can scan and email them to you. We were there about 1 to 1 1/2 hours total and it was a pretty big group. We felt it was a good value for the price considering how many people there were on the tour and such. They took our picture but we didnt buy them. We have 3 kids 8, 7 and 3 and they all liked it but the water was really cold then too!!! We took my inlaws and my Father in law said it was one of the neatest things he has done. Usually if you can get in the last group it seemed they got a little longer with the Dolphins than the others but I am not positive on that!
