Were these sent certified mail. I have not received the pearls yet but I did get a notice for a certified box to be picked up at the post office.

Nope, they came in a square shaped heavy paper/cardboard envelope clearly marked "Overstocks"..In regular delivery...Your certified box must be some other goodie!
