Freebie Thread for the week of 7/16/07

This is a great survey site that sends emails with surveys where you "win" anywhere from $1-$4 per survey and you always win. Cash out is only $5 so it's easy to see a check with a week!! Also the surveys are short and interesting..the last one I did was about a DW vacation!!

:thumbsup2 Thanks! I just joined. Do you get surveys from this often?

It seems kind of erratic, probably due to demographics. I joined about a month ago and have earned $17 so far. Don't forget to fill out your profiles, you get $ for that too!:goodvibes

I didn't get any freebies yesterday or today!:sad1:

I borrowed this one from another site, not exactly free but I picked some up this morning and it was $2.99 so I paid less than $1 with the coupon:yay:

If anyone gets a coupon and doesnt need it... please let me know. It wont let me get one, i guess im in the wrong area. Anyway my niece drinks this stuff so I try and get the coupons when I can. Thanks

Does anyone have the site for the minerals make-up? I know I saw it on here but did not know when and exactly where. I don't know if it is good any longer but DD would really like to try it.

Thank you!! I really appreciate you giving me the zip code-- worked for me:thumbsup2

Just a question-- cant these printed coupons be copied on a copier? So you could actually get as many as you want, right? I know this probobly isnt the 'right' thing to do-- but it can be done- right?

Never thought of that!:confused3 Has anyone ever used a copied coupon before? I have a color printer so it does print out the coupon in color but I would think black and white would do as long as the bar code scans.

right... my printer is color but I know some ppl print in black and white-- so i assume it would look no different than that. I wonder whether the bar code copies well though. Anyone know?

When I printed out the coupons for the lunchables at Target (coupon generator, you could pick how many you wanted), I wanted to make sure my Target would take them (because it was a regular Target, not super Target). I had printed ten, but I gave the cashier one to make sure it would work. I said "I want to make sure this works". The cashier saw I had many coupons (I printed ten) and said "We usually don't have any trouble unless they are copies of copies and too light."

So, I am guessing you can photocopy away, as long as your ink holds up!

I have "scanned" on-line coupons many times. It may not be right but a penny saved is a penny earned these days, especially with a baby. I got thru the self check out as often as possible, that way I scan the coupons. If I get a hard time, I tell them my printer ink was low and thats why it's not scanning correctly. Works all the time!

I am not telling anyone what to do but if you read the actual coupon they do usually state:

Void if reproduced
Void if copied
May not be trasferrred or reproduced

and other comments that would imply that you are not "supposed" to make copies and use the copies. That is why many companies do not accept internet coupons. The vendors will not pay the company for duplicated coupons so they lose money on them. That is also why brinks and other printing companies only allow each person to print so many predetermined amounts. Target asks you how many you want to print and will allow you to print multiples. That is how their system is set up and how their stores handle it but most stores do not. If I can only print a couple then I ask friends or family to print them for me to get more. I personally am not comfortable photocopying them as it has been implied to me that it is fraud but again that is me. I don't want someone here having a problem.

I got SOOOO mad at my Target tonight - well, actually, not the Target I usually frequent, but one still in my town. I had 15 Target coupons that I had printed - 2 items I had printed 5 coupons each for, and then the others were 5 different items. I get to the register, and the girl says, "I can only use 5 coupons." I asked if she meant 5 per item or 5 total. She says, "Only 5 Target coupons." By now, she's already rang up about 8-10 items, so I said, "Well, then you might want to stop because I'm not buying these things if I can't use the coupons. Nowhere on these coupons does it say only 5 allowed." "Well, my manager isn't allowing more than 5 per customer," as she's still continuing to ring up items. I again said, "Alright, like I said then, you might want to stop scanning everything because you're only going to have to void it out. I'm not buying this stuff if I can't use the coupons. The other Target where I typically shop has no problems with these coupons at all." With a big heavy sigh, "Well, I'll do it this time but we can't hold up the lines all the time for all of these coupons." I just ignored her comment but almost cracked up laughing when she started scanning the coupons. Not one of them did she have any trouble scanning, but she took FOREVER going through them, like it was the most horrible thing she had ever had to do.
