Freebie Thread 12/15/08

Why green when we will be there at the same time?? (we will be there Dec 17-24) LOL..I live in GA, too..Savannah. About 5 hours away, depending on the traffic in Orlando.

Another one here from GA... about an hour from you, and going to Savannah to shop tomorrow!!

Actually, we are having a heat wave when compared to what the temps were earlier in the week. :rotfl: Spokane got hit REALLY hard with snow today! I am glad I am here and not there. :goodvibes

OMG, I live right across the border from Spokane in Coeur d' Alene, ID, we got 30 inches of snow in less than 48 hours. Most of Spokane and CDA shut down, which I've never seen happen here before. We set a new local record of snowfall. It was crazy, we're waiting for another storm to come in tonight and then another later next week!! :scared1:

We are about 40 minutes southeast of Seattle, in the foothills of the Cascades. We have gotten about 3 inches of snow since 7pm and are having wind gusts up to 75mph. We are hoping the power stays on, but it has started flickering in the last hour. :sad2:

Everything is shutting down here as well. DD went to school one day this week and it was on delay. DH has been working from home since Wed. We just moved from MI, so it seems silly to have a whole state shutting down for a few inches of snow, but we are quickly understanding the impact snow & ice have on the mountainous terrain. DH tried to make it to work on Thursday, he got about 6 miles from the office when the police started shutting down the highways and the majority of the roads in Seattle, so he turned around and came home. The news was reporting that even if you made it into the city, you couldn't get into the parking garages because of all the road closures.

HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE FREAPS Stay safe :grouphug:

I stopped into Walgreens the other night and the checker was from Spokane and still has relatives over there. She was telling me how everything was getting shut down. We always get your weather as it moves east so we all watch Spokane year 'round. I guess we're in for another wave of snow, then. DS is coming home from college tomorrow. I hope he makes it thru before we get dumped on again.

We usually get snow in December and wind in January. This time, they are both coming together. I wonder what January will be like! :confused3

All you freaps stay warm! :goodvibes

Just combine this $5 Energizer rebate with the $5 Walgreens EasySaver rebate to get your free rechargeable battery charger and four two batteries. It’s a moneymaker through Saturday since they’re on sale for $7.99, but the regular price is $9.99, so you can still get it for free through the end of the EasySaver rebate period which is 12/27.

Thanks so much, I went out and bought one this morning and also printed the rebate form.
