A few years ago we stumbled across a free wine seminar for German wines
during the F&W festival. Do they still have these, it was alot of fun for us
amateur wine folk. Is there a listing somewhere of times they are offered?

Thanks so much,
Mary (Travelgoddess)

I would love to know this info also, I don't know I'd be interested in German wine but I would like to know about Italian or French wine seminars (I'm guessing they are not going to be freebies, though)

Good grief - there are 5 to 8 free wine seminars a day for six weeks.

I have a guide if you have specific questions.

I would be interested in times, I didn't realize there were that many.
We are going 10/27-11/4.

Thank You

I would also be interested in the times and seminars. I haven't been able to find out info for mid-late October.

Thank you.

It looks like they run from 11am-5pm-7:15pm every day. About every 1/2 an hour. There are two wine sections in the Festival Welcome Center and in the Odyssey they have culinary programs. Some are "Syrah vs. Shiraz", "Wines of Oregon", "Merlot? What Merlot?", "Piper and Charles Heidsieck-Champage, France", "Wines of New Zeland", "Frances Ford Coppola-Napa Valley, CA", "Authentic Tastes-Macadamia Nuts". "Matt Murry, the Girl and The Fig-Sonoma, CA", etc.. Most of the chefs from the WDW restaurants are doing demos. They also have "International Beers of the World" at 1, 2, 3, and 4 next to Rose and Crown, "History of Beer in America" at 12:30, 1:15, 2:45, 4:15, 5:15 and 6:30pm near American Adventure, "300 Year Celebration of Tea at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 in the UK.

FYI-we tried to get into 4 of the seminars on Sunday and they were all filled 1 hour-2 hours ahead!!!

its a good 1hr. wait time to get into the tasting’s...you can try to swing a 30min but they only hold about 80 people each so it would be a waste to wait so long and then not get in...plus there isn’t much shade so it tends to get hot...but these are the things we do for 4 free glass (2oz) of wine
All the speakers are very good and informative (did i mention i dont know anything about wine...so everyone is informative in my book)...and Bud is great (he's one of the old guy greeters that cards me every time.)...
But wait till Nov...Highland Distillers and free scotch

www.laughingplace.com has a limited schedule over the next weeks to give you an idea.

I don't normally wait an hour. At least last year there was always a Disney person with a counter. Ask them how it looks. (Note: I also don't go to the Food & Wine on Saturday....which is always too crowded.)

I noticed a post on the dining forum that indicated a pdf of the guidebook was available on this forum, but I can't find it.

Anyone know where that is posted. We are there from Nov 2 - 10 and I would really like a look at the guide to increase the anticipation !!!
