Free water park pass

Does anyone know if there is a specific date range you had to have purchased the FL resident annual pass to receive the free 1 day admission to one of the water parks?

We purchased ours in October and activated them the 1st Saturday in October.

I'm assuming that you have to buy it after the announcement was made and it says until the end of the year. Keep in mind that the water park ticket has to be used by sometime in March 2009 (I don't remember the exact date). I won't be using the ticket. The water (and the air) will be too chilly for me to swim! I am a Floridian, so I don't swim until at least May!
