Free upgraqde at the POP?

Has anyone got a free upgrade at the Pop Century ever? Just curious, if so what time of year??

Dh and I were at POP in October. We got upgraded to a Preferred Room, 60's building. We were super close to the food court, busses etc. We didn't ask for an upgrade. Not too sure how they assign rooms, though. Maybe it was just our lucky day when we checked in!
