Free Upgrades for later dates??

Well, I just went online and tried to book a stay at Pop Century for the dates I'm currently booked there (9/10-15), and there was no problem at all getting those dates, and they even offered All Star Sports as an alternative. So maybe those dates aren't going to be offered the upgrade. On the other hand, it's only June ! Magical things happen all the time!

Were you checking the free dining link as opposed to the regular booking site? Cause I put in your dates and saw NO openings in values.

okay so im like most of wishing and hoping that we get a email sent to us!!! we aregoing 9/11-9/18 and we would love to get any kind of upgrade its not that we dont like pop but its just diffrent and did i say FREEE!!! its driving me crazy im soooo jealous i know i should be happy for people which i am i just want itokay ao little overboard but im only being honest i happy for those lucky ones i just keep telling myself the good thing if we dont get the email th parks should less crowded and we have disney all to ourselves

And oh, for pity's sake. I just called AGAIN, because I called yesterday to put my email on the account, but wasn't convinced that the CM I spoke to actually was updating my info correctly, and I wanted to verify that it in fact WAS on the account just in case the offer was extended, and guess what? Yep, my email was NOT on the account. The charming and very helpful CM I spoke to, however, went out of her way to make sure that not only was my info up to date, but we also went over all my ADR's. Mimi, you're the best!!

Hopefully, this third phone call is the charm, and many magic will come my way . . .

So I was thinking I needed to stop thinking about these upgrades.. But i was playing around on the website tonight and if i put in my exact dates sports and music come up. But if i change them around there are no values available. Only SSR and OKW.... gosh.. what are the chances... aww... i wont be able to sleep now.

For my dates (9/21-10/1) ASMo has standard and preferred, POP has standard, ASSp has standard and preferred and ASMu has standard and preferred. So most likely not an upgrade coming my way

This is the last week to book free dining, correct? So if something is going to happen re: upgrades to free up value resort rooms, it's this week!

Yep, next Sunday is it! So hopefully! Although I do think the popularity and advertisement on it has gone down... so not sure how many more bookings there will be

There might be some out there waiting you never know. I am still holding out hope. I am fine either way. We are going to disney for 10 nights. More than enough for me.

Even though the website isn't showing availability anywhere but ASSports for most of September, the value resorts are available for room only or full price packages, so it doesn't look like they're oversold/overbooked in general. I would think the more likely scenario would be for them to release more free dining packages from the room only or full price packages rather than upgrade since the space is still there for people to stay at the value resorts. Just my opinion but I'm not holding my breath for an upgrade.---Kathy

I agree, you never know but if there are no upgrades, I am okay with spending 11 nights with the mouse staying at ASMo Oh yeah.. I get another 4 nights with the mouse for our anniversary too

Ah, but we can still dream, right? Although I'm content to stay tucked away at the Pop Century - the biggest bit of pixie dust was being able to go during free dining in the first place, so it's all good, either way. Heck, we'll be at WDW!!

We are staying at the Polynesian from 8/30 - 9/3 in a garden view room. Is there any chance for us to get one of these upgrades?

From what I understand the upgrades have only been offered to people that booked at a value resort between the dates of like Aug 21st and Sept 1st. So I doubt it.

Forgive me in advance- this is my first post. I booked thru a TA who is also a member of this group and this is what she told me:

"Right now those upgrade dates are for check ins between Aug 26-Sept 1. Travel agent bookings are eligible--and I posted this on the DIS last night. The pin codes are very, very limited, and only available to those who have one associated with their Disney profile. You don't need to be booked yourself with Disney--TA bookings are covered and not discriminated. There are things we do on our end to see if your profile has a pin attached to it, and should the upgrade dates extend I will check to see if there is something that applies to your reservation.

These offers are not just for booked guests either--they are totally random and miscellaneous. What Disney is trying to do is open up some rooms at the Values.

One thing to consider: room availability is far less at OKW and SSR than at the Values. We don't have exact numbers, but if they hit their target number to leave the Value then the offer is no longer available.

If they come up with something that impacts your reservation I will let you know. Also, let ME know if you receive an email from Disney regarding another resort or offer and i will see about applying it to your existing booking."

We are booked for our 2nd trip at Pop, 9/15-9/21 with free dining. I will take whatever I can get.

My cousin just booked on Fri. and got an upgrade. They are going Sept 5 thru the 10th. They were going to stay at a value and they were offered CSR or PO, they went with CSR. Is the the first upgrade that is past labor day weekend? Is this the first upgrade that is not DVC?

Of course I made my reservations earlier this week and was not offered this upgrade. and am now stuck at ASsports!!
