free trials?

I just wanted to know if anyone does the free trials for points. I always get the e-mail from my points to try something for a lot of points, but never do it. I got an e-mail today for ancestry.com for free 2 weeks for 250 pts. All the other mails I really didn't care to try out so I never did, but this one I am interested in, but I know I will never become a member for 80.00 a year. I was just wondering if you guys have done it & cancelled, how it works out. Thanks for your help. Cristen

I haven't tried Ancestry.com but I have done the Connections and Galleria promotions and had no problem cancelling. They may give you a hard sell when you call and sometimes they even lower the membership fee. Stick to your guns and there should be no problem cancelling.

I've done a couple AOL for 1000 points and Travelers Advantage. Once my points were appointed I called and canceled with little or no problems.
