The agents were confusing these "Z" codes with the notorious forbidden "Z" code.. or on at least one of your calls.. with a different code that *was infact* for
AAA agents only.
While it's frustrating.. given the training these folks clearly do NOT get .. it's hardly surprising they confused these codes up.
The other thing to keep in mind.. And this sounds like what you were experiencing. They can mis-hear you.. no matter how many times you say it.. So.. when you give them one of these codes.. given them an example word for each letter..
Zebra Frank Charlie... etc.
Because :
- C sounds like D, E, Z, B, P, T, G, V...
- S sounds like F
- A sounds like J, K
- Q, U and W can sound the same on a bad phone connection
- G and J are similar sounding
- M and N are similar sounding
- Y and I are similar sounding
That's a lot of chances for them to mis-hear you... no matter how clearly you try to say it.
It maybe they were entering the forbidden code.. instead of what you were actually saying.. they are dangerously close the same letters... as is the AAA agent only code.
Its absolutely stoopid for Disney to make the codes so darned similar in the first place. Personally I think they should be using a one letter and three number combination. IE: L455 or something like that.
J
PS> It is crazy to note that most Disney offer codes for the general public AND those that are not for the general public.. consist mostly of the first row of letters above. IE : A lot of the letters sounds rhyme with "eee"
