Hi- Im not sure this is limited to Fla residents or not but in the past week I have had friends and family receive this promotion coupon from Universal Studios. One free ticket for the person listed on the address and up to 6 other tickets for $49 each.. sounds like a great deal. I havent received it and the people that have received it- havent been there in years, never had a AP either.. so Im not sure what the rhyme and reason is on who gets this??? anyone heard of this.

It is sent to certain Florida residents. It is determined by demographics. Although it looks like it has no rhyme or reason as to who gets one, I am sure the marketing and research department knows why they send to some households and not others.

they are all from the same county but different household incomes, so I think there really is no set way they are doing it.. If we get one we will might just make a trip up there this year- if not its not something the kids have missed since we have never taken them anyhow :confused3

We got one weeks ago and 2 of my co-workers also received them. One of them used it to go on Mothers day and had a great time. It is a free 1 day 2 park pass and a coupon to buy up to 6 more at $49 each.

yeah i just got one the other day. i have family coming over the middle of june so we are going to use it for that. if you read the fine print it says " one florida ID good for up to 6 tickets, and 1 free 1 day/2park ticket." So if you max out the up to 6 tickets you get one free for a total of 7 i guess.

i think it's an awsome deal , because if you think about it, normal price for 1 day 1 park is what ? $75 for an out of towner??

Thats like $25/park. I like the sound of that !!

I got one yesterday !!!:cool1: I could use this for my son birthday weekend in October.

I have received these in the past but nothing yet. The ticket and name on the mailing must match in order to get the free ticket...unless Universal has changed the way these mailings are being handled.

Either the address or the name needs to match your photo ID.

So if the ticket says Bob Smith at 123 Maple Dr and you are Sharon Jones at 123 Maple Dr (and you have ID with that address) then you can redeeem the ticket. Or if you are Bob Smith but have moved to 567 Main St then you can redeem it if you have your picture ID with the name Bob Smith on it.

There's a similar deal for FL teachers where it's a free 2-park Summer pass and then you buy up to 6 more for family for $79.99. Now what I want to know is, what's a summer pass? And are there blackout dates? The coupon only says that it's good from now through Sept. 30, 2009.

my dh got one yesterday and I got my ticket from the contest a while back so when we go over to wdw next week we are going to go over for FREE!! :cool1:

what list are they pulling from? do I need to sign up at their website?

Even those of us who work in positions at Universal Studios are not given that information. It is highly secretive/privileged information. Marketing is the only ones that have that information and they aren't sharing. All we are told is it is based on certain demographics and not random mailings and it is for Florida residents only.

I got one and plan on using it on June 1. I havent been to Universal in over 5 years, but have stayed at the royal pacific a few times in the last 24 months.

Hi.

I enjoy this forum. This is my first post. I was lurking for a few days.

My mother received one of those free tickets and $49.99 dollar promotion and she just moved to Orlando. On the mailer it says something along the lines of since you are in your new home, come and visit your new neighbors.
