Free Shipping Code Expired

Needed to place a Land's End order for cruise beach wear. Had a gift card from Hubby for Mother's Day, but no coupon codes. Mine always seem to be expired when I want to use them. Found one online for free shipping and used it. When the order total came up, after everything was entered, I thought the total looked wrong. Rechecked the math and it was charging me shipping, even though it didn't acknowledge the fact I had entered a code. I called them before submitting my order, explained what happened and that I really wanted the free shipping. Was their any valid code available? No, but the lady was so nice. She agreed about needing to save wherever you can and offered to remove the shipping charge once I submitted my order. It was a $14.95 savings and it made my day! Thought you all could appreciate this. I'm so happy to get back in touch with my long time dormant frugal side and have been really trying to spend wisely in this crazy economy! Thanks for listening!
