I would still expect a bill to arrive charging you the duties and taxes. It will come from UPS. I ordered DD 2 bathing suits from Justice in the states on a free shipping deal and about 2 weeks later got a bill for $20.00 that looked to be shipping but it was for the brokerage and HST. My order was oly $45.00!

Yet other DD ordered shorts from Hollister online (assume a US company) and no bill ever arrived. :confused3

I have never been charged taxes and duty when ordering from the Disney website. Other products from the States that come UPS, I have been dinged huge amounts about duty - but I argued with them and got it reduced. They charge you for filling out the forms. It is ridiculous.

A few weeks ago I bought just over $200 worth of stuff at the Disney store and got a $15 flat rate shipping. A week later I went to order again, around the same dollar value, and my shipping was over $50. I have no idea what they are doing on that site. It is not consistant. I emailed and told them about it and they said they would adjust it for me if I called.

:)

I also have never been charged any extra money ordering from the Disney website. Nothing at the door when FedEx delivers, and no other invoices in the mail.

And can I say "darn it!"? I thought there was free shipping this weekend when I clicked on the thread! :lmao:

I ordered from Disney.com about 2 years ago now and was nailed with Duty charges when the package arrived.
How they decide who to charge and not charge is beyond me.
Just be aware that there is definitely a possibility for more money owing upon arrival.

Those charges are CRAZY!!!! :headache:

I've had three different orders from the website, the first two I paid no charges on, but the last one I paid a $30 charge to UPS.

I passed order in summer 2011 and I have to paid for shipping about 50$ + duties at home (50-65$). After, I passed 4 orders in october to december 2011and I just paid 15$ for shipping (order over 150$) no duties no taxes. Finally, I passed an order mid-january 2012 and it was the return of the excessive shipping cost (70$!!) and duties (65$). What is hapenning with the shipping cost to canada, I dont understand. thanks a lot!
