Anyone else receive the following email? We'll be in DHS that day but maybe we'll hop over for the screening.

You are invited to a special advance screening of Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Big Hero 6" before it opens to the general public.

From the team behind "Frozen" and "Wreck-It Ralph," comes "Big Hero 6", an action-packed comedy-adventure about the special bond that develops between Baymax (voice of Scott Adsit), a plus-sized inflatable robot, and prodigy Hiro Hamada (voice of Ryan Potter). The film hits theatres in 3D on November 7, 2014.

Date: Saturday, November 1, 2014

Times: 10:00am and 1:00pm (doors open 1 hour before show)

Location: AMC® Downtown Disney 24 in Lake Buena Vista, FL

We arrive that day. We were going to land at 12:15 but I just now managed to change flights to an earlier arrival and reserved three spots. My DD is going to be so excited! :)

Yep, we got it too and are all registered! Make sure to get there early because seats will fill up fast.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Will getting there an hour in advance be enough time?

For Alexander's bad day we arrived more than an hour ahead of the given time. An hour would have been enough. Just remember it is not easy to get to the theater with DTD construction.

My confirmation email came in almost immediately.

I need to brush up on DTD construction now! Thank you for that tip. We're staying at SSR, so can walk or boat. Hopefully that plays into our favor.

I registered for the one in CA, but no confirmation yet. I am kind of worried. I am not sure - would I call member servgices to inquire? I got the screen that said I would get an email shortly, but nothing yet.

Boat over. Much easier way of getting there.

Did you check your spam folder?

Didn't see the email until this evening and when I tried to register it said both showings were full. Do they ever open up other times or theaters?

If it is the regular company that Disney uses for early screenings just remember that you usually aren't guaranteed a seat even if you register. We always show up at minimum an hour early and have done these in NYC and Orlando. The only ones with guaranteed spots are the parks blog meet up ones.

Also they may ask you to give up all electronic devices including cell phones. We only saw Brave 2 days early and still had to give up our cell phone to security. For Frankenweenie we were smart and just left the phone in the rental car.

The fine print did imply we'd have to give phones up. Was it a pain to get them back at the end of the movie? We won't have a car and probably won't have time to go to our room, if we're lucky enough that it's ready at 11:00. I guess we could leave them at bell services?

Wasn't a pain at all. They were efficient and only took us 5 mins or so to get our phone back.

We also got the e-mail but unfortunately can't do it. This is the first time we have been invited to a preview screening but unfortunately that is the day we arrive and are driving from NJ so we won't get there until around 8:00 p.m. :(

You will have to give up all phone and have your bags checked and if I recall from the Planes one, we were wanded as well to check for any other electronics on our body. They are serious about it. They have a little electronics check area where you get a slip with your bag number on it. Really efficient. I dont want to risk leaving it in the car in case of a break in so I will just check ours.

Did you get your confirmation email back? :) I missed our email notification by 1 hour and 15 minutes but by then it was too late..... it was already full by over whelming popular demand!!! :badpc: 1st time to miss a preview since we've known of this perk. :( Oh well..... at least I will still be celebrating that day with my actual Birthday lunch at Carthay Circle!! :yay:

Enjoy the movie! ;)

Well, still no email, but after 2 calls to Member Services and talking to 3 people, they have let me know I am confirmed for the movie on Sunday at Disneyland DTD AMC. I honestly think it was persistence that paid off as they said that I am now confirmed for 4 even though I only originally signed up for 2 originally. :rotfl: So looks like I will be seeing the movie!
