You can make 1 free photobook per month with free shipping too
http://www.hotprints.com/

I just got the one I made earlier this week (super fast shipping). It is super cute. Not super high quality, and about the size of a magazine. It had a center page with ads that I easily removed.

A quick look at their website makes me wonder what I'm missing. Are they legit?

Sheila

I thought so too at first after I got it off a blog. But people told me it was legit and I tried it and I got mine today after making it on Monday. They never ask for your credit card or anything, so as far as I can tell it's on the up and up.

Like I said, mine came with a page in the center of ads for things like Direct Tv and FTD, but it was the center sheet so I just pulled it out.

EcbLovesMickey,

Would you mind posting some pictures of what the book looks like? I started one the other day and will finish it this weekend but am curious to what it looks like.

I cant wait to get mine - it says it shipped on 4/27 but I still havent gotten it? Should I give up waiting for it? Think it got lost in the mail????:confused3

These are not very good, but here they are:

This is the cover. It's roughly 8.5" x 11" and not hard bound. More like a magazine than a regular photo book

That is an inside page. Very cute, full color

That is the insert I pulled out. It was the middle page with only ads, none of my pictures on it, so I pulled it out a Voila! no ads, just my pages :)

Thanks for the info!

I registered, it said I can get a free Hotbook, but it's asking for a promo code before I can get to the part where I actually make the book.:confused3

why would you bother with these? They will not stand the test of time. If I'm going to take the time to preserve my photos, I want to make sure they will be around for my children and grandchildren to enjoy. JMHO.

I just made one. I found to hard to manuver the site, but finally got down. It went really slow. From what I read, there is no need for the promo code. Sounds like they used to have one, but no longer needed. Is the calender free to?
Also could anyone figure out how to add text? I could get the box up, and right words, but not the size I wanted, and there was nothing I could figure out to do to submit it back on the book, so I gave up on that.
I guess with free, it can't hurt to try at least.

Oh, and it does say on t he checkout page that it will come with removable adds in it.

I personally print all my pics and put them in photoalbums. Even the ones I do in photobooks. I never think photobooks are good quality, but they are nice to take to places to show others. And my D likes to look at them. I only order free or dirt cheap photobooks for the most part.

Just for the novelty of it. Of course I preserve my photos in other ways.

When I did mine, I just clicked in the area for the text and then it brought up a window that had font and the size under the area that you type in.

I did one photo book last month, but I got an e-mail and it said they will be charging Canadians and UK residents for shipping now. I haven't received my book yet. Too bad I didn't know that when I made the book-I only put AK and Epcot in that book. I was going to do MK and DHS this month. I should check into the shipping costs.

I worked for an hour or more last night and didn't get too far. Kept getting errors on some of my photos. Maybe the site was just busy and it would work better at less popular times. I tried 2 - 3 times before some of the uploaded.

Creating the book is not as easy as on some other sites, but the price is right. I'll give it a try if I can get my photos uploaded.

Sure, you're right - they won't.

However it's great when you have little ones who want their "own" photo album or scrapbook and are not ready to take care of it yet.

I made one of these for my son and it came last month. He was thrilled to have a "photobook" that was all about him and the people in his life!

Not only that, now my 11 year old daughter wants to make 1 a month for herself, and to give to her friends.

It doesn't cost the kids any material, yet gets them to be creative and thinking, and they have lots of fun! Can't beat that for free!
