I've never donw a phot book before but I have my credit waiting for me. I want to make a cookbook for my daughter of family recipes and then add pictures of her and the recipe's author. How do I put the written recipe in? Can I type it in on the site or should I take a picture of the recipe?

You can choose some "text" pages that are all text - then you could put the picture(s) on the facing page. But with the big text pages there should be plenty of room for you to write the recipe. What a nice idea!

Question on extension....Did you have to receive the email for the offer to be extended? I finished my book today and help my mom finish hers but my sister is working hers tonight. I wonder if she has more time or if you have to request the time extension. does anyone know?

I never got an email.
I did a NEW login under my daughters email & the page pops up with a note that says due to high demand you have until the 22nd to FINISH your book,, but I bet you have to have the credit in your account by midnight tonight.

I finished my book but when I get past the preview page and try to add it to the shopping cart it won't add it.

Any ideas?

Its close to midnight and I just finished my book and upon checking out it stated they were extending the offer unit next Saturday at midnight. So you don't have to rush we have another week to get them finished!!! My book also only cost $6.99. Just shipping charges!! Good luck and don't give up!!

Question...I just found this thread and was worried that it wouldn't let me do it since it's obviously after midnight...BUT I went ahead and made an account using the link on the first page and it told me I had a credit for a free photo book and gave me the option to start making it...I proceeded and it said I had till Nov. 22 to make it so I went to my account info page and I cannot find where to start making the book again! HELP!

It finally became unfrozen and kicked me out. When I went back in I found the photo book in the cart. It has now been ordered.

I had my sister do an account to get a photo book also.


I think once you have clicked on the link for the free photo book it doesn't matter how you start making it. Just pick the 8x11 size custom cover photo book. After putting in the credit card information then you will see the discount on the photo book.

I got it to work...I wonder how many they will let you get? I could do one for my hubbie's email, one for both of mine...etc...but if they are all shipped to the same mailing address...I wonder if they won't allow it???

I'd love to make one for both sets of parents, our g'mother, and for dh but that may be pipedreaming! Anyone know??

Sign them up using an e-mail account and then have the books sent to them as a gift. Tell them not to open til Christmas! You should be able to charge them to your credit card.

I think I will do one for my mom and dad-they wouldn't bother making one for themselves. I'm also thinking of making one for my niece (I took her to WDW in Sept). I of course will charge them to my credit card.

I had my sis set up an email account with them, and i will ship and bill it to her - and just pay the shipping back to her, that way i still adhere to the 1 per house rule.

I ordered mine last night and it showed me the page saying i was getting it for 6.99 Well when i click "buy the book" it then showed i paid 39.17 I called the 1-800 and they credited my card the 29.99. Has anyone had this happen? Thought about ordering another one (use a different address) but not sure i want to go through all that mess again??

OK - did I totally blow this? I am a new Snapfish user, saw the Oprah deal and opened up an account yesterday. Made my book and finished it this morning (very early!!) and when I check out, no credit for my free book. Did I have to check out before midnight Friday? I thought I had until Sunday. I have submitted an email to customer service but it will take 24 hours. Now when you use the link on Page 1, it says the promotion has ended.

There are always other sites to get a free book. Put "free photo book" in google and see what you come up with. I just made one through Inkubook the other day - I paid shipping only. I think Picaboo might have the same thing. And about twice a year Snapfish has a deal; get a 100 page photo book for the price of a 20 page.

Hmmm.....at the top of the page, but the cart, there is a "my account' link. Try clicking that. It should say one free book under what available credits you have.

You didn't have to have the book done until Sunday (well, now 11/22). You just had to have clicked the link and added it to your account by Friday.

How do you "switch to Mozilla"? I have photos loaded and can see them in my album, but when I try to create a book, the photos show up as red squares with x's in them! UGH!

I signed up with the link from oprah too. When I go to check out, no credit appears on my order. This is really frustrating. I can't find a phone number to contact them either.
