When we had the box it was 20-ish lbs and it's bulky. I think they do transfers between all resorts daily (they keep a log on a clipboard) so sending it over to POR from PO-fq is just as complex as sending it to POP. They seem to have separate long term storage which seems to confuse matters more. When the trips are close together with no transfer things seem to go perfectly. They told me at check in I had a box but the past person left like 2 days earlier. Who knows though as swaps only at 1 resort go
missing too.

As the last one who actually had possession of the box (actually a green tubberware-type container), just wanted to make sure you knew it sounds like Sharon Stinson's name is still on it. It's on a gold piece of paper. Also, in response to a previous question, I clearly marked it POFQ.

Also in response to a previous question, the box is rather heavy. I carried it from my room to luggage services on the last day and had to take a couple of breaks on the way.

This is a very curious situation. I just showed my daughter the thread and she is excited to add to the box. Hope it will be around when we are there in June.


jkshel - I saw that you are an alternate while I am there, I thought we could share contact info and after I have the box a few days I will call you and make the swap, if this is agreeable with you. PM me please.

Hey guys the box has been found! Somehow one of the managers at PO found my email. They said they would put the next name in the box for us. Am I reading it right that the next person is mammajessie? Does any one have her info so I can pass it on? Hopefully she can combine the two boxes. The green tupperware one was getting pretty full I cleaned out a few things.

The box is there...if the manager knows it's been sitting there, how come the guys who work there can't ever find it?? Don't know whether to laugh or cry!!!

To whom it may concern.
My name is Orlando Vega and I am one of the managers at Disney’s’ Port Orleans Resort.

There has been a PIF bin in our luggage room since December for a guest who checked out on 12/23/11 (Sharon Stinson). We have no information of the person the bin will go to next.

I have two questions:

1. Do you have the name of the next Guest here at Port Orleans so I can tag it for you?
2. If not, will someone be coming by to pick up the container? If so, let me know and I will label the bin accordingly.

Ted, are you there right now?? The box is in storage & still has Sharon Stinson's name on it. If you PM me your full name, I'll let the manager at POR know & they'll get it ready for you...you're there til the 23rd? Or, you can go down & give them Sharon's name & tell ask them to give it to you. It's there...After that, there's no one until niccikatie on March 25. Please let me know if you won't be getting the box & I'll get niccikatie's info to send to the manager down there. Thanks!!

Got confirmation from the manager at FQ. He changed the info on the box to your name & said he'd send the box to FQ before the 29th. It's currently at Riverside. He said he'd put the label he had on it w/ Ted In Halifax's name inside the box for you, but you should probably bring your own just in case.

Check in w/ us when you get back, if you can. Enjoy your trip!!
