There doesn't seem to be any good info available on the Disney World bus routes between parks. So i was wondering if you could save cash by parking at Blizzard beach then taking the bus to Animal Kingdom?
I read somewhere it's on the same bus route - is it possible?

Anybody any other ideas of getting free parking at DW? Perhaps since Typhoon Lagoon also offers free parking they'd be a way of grabbing a bus from there to another park that charges 14 bucks a day?

Thanks in advance.

:welcome: to the Dis, ukiner.

If you are staying at a WDW resort parking at the 4 major parks is free. Otherwise it's $14.

The Water parks & DTD have free parking intended for patrons of those areas, they are not intended for a free parking to visit other WDW areas.

If the $14 is making/breaking your trip budget wise it may be better to wait until another time to plan a Disney trip as other things may much more expensive than you are anticipating.

Thanks for getting back to me.

It's not going to be a big deal but since we'll be at DW for about 2 weeks parking could well be 150 bucks plus.

I'll have an Ultimate ticket (Good for any park including waterparks for 14 days) so I'll be park hopping for 2 weeks - so I could well be a 'Patron' of Blizzard Beach, it's just that maybe I'll want to spend the morning at Blizzard Beach and the afternoon at Animal Kingdom.

If you will be there 2 weeks you may want to consider purchasing an Annual Pass, you would get free parking at all the parks, you will only need one AP to get it and you can get other discounts all around WDW including 10% off most shops and some selected dining discounts.

While getting from one of the waterparks to one of the other parks MAY be possible, getting back to that waterpark may prove to be difficult as the buses will no longer be running to the waterparks after they close. So instead of paying $14 to park, you will have to pay cab fare to get back to your car.

What you are suggesting is possible, in theory. But you may get some "less than polite" replies for posting this. I'm in no way criticizing, just giving you a heads-up to expect some flak on this issue.

I can't see an issue in trying to avoid paying for crazy parking prices since I'll already have spent about 1500 bucks on 4 Ultimate tickets anyway.

Plus, from what I can see Blizzard Beach's car park is rarely full anyway - so no harm done.

A couple of things.

Not parking at the park you are visiting can take a lot of time out of your day and make getting back to your car at the end of the day impossible without a taxi if the place you parked is now closed.

Also getting around paying for parking is a very hot topic on these boards since these are your first posts you may even be labeled a troll trying to stir the pot. So you may need to put on your asbestos underwear. :)

I will say it one more time and spell it out for you a little better.

From now until at least June, the waterparks close at 5:00. If you are going to get back to your car, you will have to leave the park you're enjoying no later than 4:00 to try to get back to the waterpark to get your car. Otherwise you WILL HAVE TO TAKE A TAXI which will cost you much more than $14.

So, to save $14, you'll either pay more for a taxi OR you will be losing valuable park time that you've paid for with your ticket.

I probably wouldn't want to spend an evening in the Parks anyway 4 or 5 seems like a nice time to escape - especially if I'm going to be there for 2 weeks.

So it can be done - great.

What about Typhoon Lagoon's bus route - which park is that connected to?

Just noticed and the Waterparks are both open till 6pm in April (When I'll be there).

So it seems like an even better option - bonus.

Typhoon Lagoon shares with DTD, the slowest bus service in all of WDW.

Is $14 really worth it for an extra hour or more one-way of commute time to/from the parks? Plus, you're sacrificing several hours of evening park time with the parades, fireworks, etc. But I can't stand the Disney buses anyway as they are so slow.

As an observation, your posts are sounding more and more troll-like with every post.

I'm not trolling - trust me I really don't have the time.

I'm just looking to save a few bucks on my already frighteningly expensive vacation.

It's no difference from my wife cutting coupons for the supermarket.

To the OP - I understand your feelings because my DH believes in always spending the least amount of money possible, and not because it is a "make for break thing". That saying, one year I agreed to park at DTD for free, catch a bus to the resort nearest the park we wanted to visit, and then go to the park from there. We did this for two days and then I mutinied. In the morning it was fine. Took longer but no big deal. Then came the evening when I was exhausted and just want to get to the condo. It took forever and it was much better to spend the $14 to park at the park. This year we are getting an annual pass. With the free parking and the discount at restaurnats we planned to eat at anyway we are saving money. I recommend going that way. If you already have your passes you can upgrade one at DTD before you go into the first park.

I vote we hijack the thread....:banana::banana:

Come on everyone, sing it with me:

"The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels on the bus go round and round, all through Walt Disney World......

:hippie:

Yes it is.

Do whatever you want on your "frighteningly expensive" vacation...but to NOT come here asking for advice on how you can break the rules.

and because it's a-coming...JAZZ HANDS EVERYONE!

Is it against the rules - I'm new here?
If it's liable to get me kicked out then I won't do it.

Is there a Disney World rulebook - I'm genuinely interested?

For each resort, Blizzard beach shares one of the park buses (MK, EP, HS, AK) ergo there is a BB to theme park connection. But not all combinations are represented. I think it is the Animal Kingdom bus that doubles as the BB bus for most resorts.

you can review the DIS guidlines here.

This is an unofficial WDW site if you want to see Disney's park rules you will need to visit the official website or contact WDW directly. You can also find many rules in the terms and conditions on their website or in the fine print on the back of your ticket.
