free online word games?

pogo.com is free and it has a bunch of different games. Be warned though, some games are very addicting. :yay:

Popcap.com has Bookworm that you can play directly online or download.

www.clubbing.com (Club Bing) has games. It is sponsored by Microsoft and you amass points that are redeemable for prizes. So far, I've gotten an aluminum water bottle, 2 x-box games, an Ogio carryon tote, an x-box battery recharger, a wireless x-box remote, and a 6-in-one game set.

Maybe this time my family will let me build up to the 38,000 points that are needed for the Michael Kors bag... though it's not likely.

You can also download the search engine bar that gives you points for every search you make through it.

I play on shockwave. I like Word Roundup, Jumble Crosswords, and Quote Slide. I do the daily plays of each, and it is free.

And this is a free gaming site? That is pretty cool. What is "the catch"? I will check it out. OK checked it out. I am signing up for a hotmail account. I need another junk email account.

I like yahoo games - text twist

I like Text Twist too (although I became so obsessed with it and was playing it so much that I would see 6 letter words and think of all of the other words I could make out of it :headache:). I like Bookworm too but I got frustrated as I got to the really high levels and my entire library would have fire tiles and all I had were a bunch of "Qu" and "Z". :)

:thumbsup2 This is my favorite, too. Very addicting.

DS7 was playing it for a bit so I thought I would give it a try. But after awhile, I got pretty bored with it. I'm now addicted to playing Big Money on PopCap.

I love Boggle on pogo.com. They also have QWERTY, Scrabble, and Word Whomp. I play all more than I should, but I've become quite good on Boggle.

GASP! I luv u! :lovestruc They have all of my old AOL/Boxerjam faves (Flexicon, Dingbats, Clink, etc) that I could no longer justify paying for - for free! I am gonna be in puzzle heaven today. :cool1:

Thanks I'll be checking some of these out - played Boggle last night - love real life Boggle - have played since I was a kid.

Are there any other educational ones out there that you know of? Not things like crosswords where you already have to be smart - but things that will start easy or that teach you something along the way?

(I love brainage on the DS but we can't find it right now)
