Free luggage tags?

Hi,
Our Magic Band order arrived! I thought the same box usually included the free luggage tags. My kids opened the box before I got home and I don't see any evidence of the tags.

Is Disney still sending free tags? Just wondering, since they are fun to have. Certainly not a big deal if they are no longer included.

Did you book a package or a room only?

You only receive them if you book a vacation package. (AKA room/tickets and a dining plan if you want)
If you did then fully check the box and if they aren't there time to ask your kids what they did with them.

Ohhh. We did book room and tickets. However, when I originally booked the Disney website processed as a room only reservation. I had to later call and speak to a reservation specialist who told me it was room only. I had to order tickets separately and link them on MDE app. I've had really random issues with the whole booking process this time around.

I'm guessing we didn't receive tags since it didn't recognize this as a package. Thanks for your help!

You can get the tags at the front desk of any resort. They don't always have every one available, but they will let you choose between their options. We were on a mad hunt for a Pluto one last time and had to go to a few resorts to find it. pluto:

For future reference, guest services can convert a room only booking to a package. We did this recently because we were booking within the cancellation window for packages so wanted to book a cancellable-room only to make sure we could get flights before we finalized it.

Wait, what? I can get a free luggage tag at the front desk of any resort? Or only if I booked a package?

(My parents gave me a Disney tote bag for Christmas. I want to put a Disney luggage tag on it, but when I popped into the Disney store in NYC they didn't have any.)

Also check inside the sleeve that the magic bands were wrapped around if you haven't already.

Anybody can ask for one. You don't have to even be a guest at the resort... at least they never asked me any questions. I just went up and asked for one.

So you just ask at the desk if they have any luggage tags?
Yep. We walked up to Pop Century's front desk while staying there and asked if they had any pluto luggage tags (DS's original had broken in transit). The CM pulled out a whole bunch of luggage tags and laid them out, saying that they were all out of pluto but we could have our choice of the others. We took 2 or 3 of what she had.

Then a couple days later we transferred over to CSR. We asked at the front desk again. No pluto, but again offered us any of the other ones they had. I think we just passed on taking another one.

On our last day we had breakfast at Cape May so we asked the BC front desk if they had any pluto luggage tags. THEY SURE DID!! We grabbed our pluto tag and went on our merry way. Then our friends who were with us for breakfast were super jealous and jumped up to ask the front desk for luggage tags as well. One friend got a pluto one, one friend got mickey. No problems.
