Free ice?

Can anybody tell me if you can obtain FREE ice at both Universal parks?

just buy one of the cheaper refillable mugs. they'll fill it with ice and/or water for free anywhere throughout the parks, you also get $1.29 soda refills.

How much is the "cheaper" refillable mugs? Do you have to buy one every day?

"Cheaper" = less than $10. $5, i think for the least expensive (not sure).

Once you buy one, it's yours forever and can be refilled any time you visit, even if it's a few years between visits.

I haven't had to buy one for awhile now, I think they're $5.29 for the Spongebob, MIB, Spiderman types. you can also have them refilled with Icees for about $2.50. they're one of the best values in the parks.

But what happens if I do NOT want to buy the refillable mug? Please understand, I am not cheap, but I just bought a new water container with a special clip that I can attach to myself...

Soooo, I don't know yet if we'll buy the mugs... Maybe...

Can I still get free ice or water?
