Free Fannie May Candy

I just placed a second order for my DD's former physical therapist. We've known her since DD was 1yo and through the last 15years we've become pretty close. She's going through a rough time right now and her birthday is also on Christmas. I thought that a box of candy might cheer her up! :)

This time I ordered the 1lb box of the Colonial mix. It was originally $22.99 and after the discount and adding the tax in, it came to $14.88 shipped.

Thanks. DH just told me this morning that he needed 3 gifts for his employees. So this will do for one. I also got the $10 coupon in the paper and will be using that for another.

What are the terms of the online discount? Can it be used for more than one order? Or is it one offer per person?

I was able to place 2 orders with no trouble at all. Thanks OP for making a little Christmas magic here.

I can't get the discount to come off of the fudge. What am I doing wrong?

Wait- Just got it to go through.

It's not good on anything that is on sale. I was able to place 2 orders, one coming to my house and one going to friend without any problems.

I have the coupon from the paper right here and it doesn't say anything about there being a limit.

The exact wording is "Must enter key code 10566. Dollars off will be applied to merchandise and are not applicable towards discounted items, gift cards, shipping or tax. Free shipping is for UPS ground only and does not include expedited or international shipping services. Offer cannot be combined with any other offers/promotions and is only redeemable at www.fanniemay.com Not valid in retail stores. Offer expires 12/24/09"

Looks like they took anything $20 or less and made it on sale for $1 less so you cant use the coupon code..how nice of them

Yup, that's exactly what they did  Boo! :surfweb: That's ok. I didn't really need any of that stuff anyway ;)

Wow! Looks like I got my fudge order in just in time, and sent it to dsil's new business as a Congrats. I ordered 3 pixie cakes as Christmas gifts! One for me, one for my bil's widow and her family, and one for dh's aunt. Thanks again OP, the break the Budget Board strikes again! :thumbsup2

That's exactly what they did. I asked the girl on the phone and she assured that Fannie May wouldn't do that! HA!:rolleyes1

I don't understand why they didn't change the prices before the promotion, instead of changing the prices mid-promotion. I understand that they aren't making any money on the fudge, and are losing money on the deal, as I'm sure it cost more than 1.99 to ship. Next year I'm sure there will be quite a bit more fine print on the coupon code. If their pixie cake is as good as the 10 testimonials claim, I'm sure I'll be buying again next year, so they got a new customer from the deal. I paid 14.99 per cake, and I know they made money off of me! I spent $47 that I had no intentions of spending today!

I can't get it to work. I have peanut brittle in my cart and it will not work>???:confused3:confused3

Just a heads up. Many people on Slickdeals are complaining about Fannie May this holiday. Many orders have been backordered or not shipped at all. Others have been overcharged.

Just wanted to let everyone know...keep checking your order status.

I used a coupon code that slickdeals had posted a while ago for Fannie May and was overcharged. They hadn't honored the coupon at all! The customer service rep tried to tell me it was an invalid code, but I had the email confirmation that they had accepted it. So she finally adjusted it. Honestly, I wasn't all that impressed with the chocolates when they came so I probably won't bother ordering from them again. Simply not worth the hassel. So keep an eye on your statements as the transactions post and don't be afraid to call in and insist they honor it or cancel.

The Fannie May of today, is NOT the Fannie May of years past. A couple of years ago they ceased all US operations and started making the candy in Mexico. I have always purchased one pound of chocolate raisins for each holiday I host at my home (my family loves these); a couple years ago I noticed a taste difference in the chocolate when I picked up my Thanksgiving pound. When I walked into buy my Christmas pound (thinking the Thanksgiving taste was in my mind) I talked to the older sales lady about the difference. She had worked for Fannie May for some ridiculous about of time, like 38 years...any how she said it was different chocolate and advised me to go to See's candy for good chocolate. Now I don't even bother with Fannie May, and just hit See's if I need a nice box of chocolate.

So don't feel too bad if you missed the deal...you can always check out See's.

I agree the taste of the chocolate is different. They are using the Fannie Farmer recipe, not the Fannie May recipe for the chocolate. I've also tried See's and it was just ok.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the 2 orders that I placed Monday were delivered today. I was charged the correct amount for each order ($14.88 for the Colonial box and $3.13 for the fudge).

:cool1:

They also got the worst rating for taste and quality from Consumer Reports

I'd never heard of Sees, they just recently came to our area, but they were rated nearly as high as Godiva at a much lower price. I believe they also were rated best value.
