I posteed this in my Planning Journal but no one is answering over there so I thought I would ask here too...OK so I am a little Confused... I thought i read somewhere that when you book your wishes wedding you get a free engagement photo shoot??
am I going crazy or did i actually read this??
Thanks for your help..

I am getting a free engagement session with my photographers David and Vicki Arndt. The engagement session is free when you book them for your Wishes Wedding. I think Escape Weddings too.

Yeah I thought you got it through DPS too??
Who know hopefully someone can tell me!!

I think maybe the reason no one has replied is that no one else has come across this before. So I would guess the answer is no. Did you get the Wishes photography information from your consultant?

I looked through the Passporter book to see if there was anything in the photography section and there wasn't.

I'm not sure about when you officially book your Wishes Wedding (we won't be able to book until March next yr for our date ) but maybe this is what you have heard about. We are doing a site visit/consultation in Oct and we are getting a free "Dreams do Come True" portrait session on the beach at the WP. I'm curious now to see if you get a free engagement shoot too!

How do you get this and go about it? How did you hear about that? We will be able to book and put our deposit down in November and will be 12 months away! :cool1: I will be graduating in December and am hoping to sneak in a Disney trip as a graduation present..to myself, lol! But I would absolutely LOOOOVE to do a shoot on the beach while were there...or wherever else they could do an E-shoot...if its actually legit. Pllleeeease let me know! Im desperate and really have my hopes up now! Heheheh:rotfl:

This is one of those unadvertised specials that DFTW does every once in a while, and you really just have to ask your planner or be offered it. A few months ago they were giving you free hotel nights for your planning session plus a photo shoot, but I couldn't pin them down about specifics because it isn't available for everyone. :(

Ok something about this really bothers me. We're all booking weddings through Disney here. We're all following all of Disney's rules and spending over the minimums. I understand that at times certain things are "tried out" with only select brides before moving forward with everyone (Betsey's cake cutting comes to mind as an example) and I completely get that and have no issue with it. But for some brides to get free photo sessions and free hotel nights during their PS, and others to just... not? That seems really unbalanced to me. Just my two cents, and I know things aren't always equal, but this leaves a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

I totally agree although this seems to be the norm with DFTW. I've read enough of these threads to see where some brides are told something is impossible only for someone else to be told yes. Some get a free night, some get watches, some get an engagement shoot. It all seems like a craps shoot. Very, very frustrating.

Well for us, once I was given a sales consultant I let them know that we were wanting to do a site visitation/consultation. We were booked for an appointment and sent an email w/ the confirm. Along w/ the confirm I was sent info on a free photo session called "Dreams do Come True". All I had to do was call Disney Photography and let them know when our site visit is and we were booked. Hope this helps Princess SarahK!

I agree. I think maybe what I should have said, though, is that it's available for everyone who happens to be at the right place at the right time. So if you happen to be headed to Disney for a planning session during whatever period in which the offer is available, you are in luck. But since they don't publicize these things, there's no way to plan to take advantage of them, which is very frustrating.

One thing to do, though, is to keep an eye on the "Special Offers" tab on the website, which will occasionally appear under the Wedding Specialist dropdown menu on the DFTW site. When they do have an offer that's available to everyone, like the extra free honeymoon night thing they did a few months ago, it will be listed there.

Thats the thing I couldnt find it where I read it.:confused3Thats why I am asking...
Thanks Lurky Loo I will ask When I send an email back again.
I knew someone could give me some information.
