Free Disney Dining Plan 2009??

We had been planning on doing 21 nights at Beach Club with free dining next year (buying the utlimate ticket) then go to Universal for 4 nights. Does not allowing split stays mean we can't do this? We want to go for 25 days but you can only stay in a disney hotel for 21 nights? I'm confused - the ultimate ticket is only 21 days too - does this mean we can only go for 21 nights to get free dining? So many questions ....

same here we hope to go to bc/yc for 21 days we hope to stay at the hardrock hotel for 1 day but wont book out of our hotel .Whats making you choose bc over yc ? hope virgin have a few free nights like they have before

We think the beach club looks a bit more fun for the kids - we will have a 13, 6 and 2 year old with us! Can't wait just to get booked and then start the countdown!!

Hi there, from Little Wakering! We visited last year, 17th - 31st August on the free DDP - beware it is very hot. Our youngest, 10 at the time, was taken ill on our last day with exhaustion and dehydration - we did get a free backlot tour out of Disney's Medical Centre, back to our car in the car park, as we were due to leave for the airport and there was an almighty thunderstorm - we saw all the parade waiting for the rain to stop! We reckon that you will be able to get the free DDP from this weekend, but as others have said, the Nationals will let you know. We would go again at the same time of year, as a lot of the American children have gone back to school, so the parks are quieter. Remember to keep drinking all day long. Good Luck with the booking!

Yes - we've been in august before and it was hot!! Mind we were there in June last year and it was hotter and more crowded than August! Think we'll do water parks am, pool pm and the parks at night!

I have just a few quotes for August. Its around £7,000 for us to go without the disney tickets. It will be 2 adults and 3 children. Even at that price I am sure its not worth it. Having found fly drives and accomodation it still worked out cheaper. Maybe I am wrong. The prices were so high.

That's a lot of money, are you sure the airfare is not PE on part of the journey. You can get a really nice condo for a lot less or a nice house.

Have a look at Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa in the Virgin book, it's getting really good reviews over on the Dibb and the new pool looks good too.

hi just to update, i booked animal kingdom lodge last
august, we have 1 week in savannah room with 14
day ultimate ticket and "free dining plan" for £1870 that
is a massive saving if you price it up now.

free dining starts 2nd august this year for uk visitors.

hope this helps for those wantin to book for next year, only wish i had booked for 2 weeks:sad2:

We also booked last year, 16 nights OKW, DDP for 3 + 3 x 21 day ultimates, £2,164. Unfortunately I can't see same offers again this year for next, I think it was all down to setting prices when the exchange rate was in our favour. To book a similar package(only 10 day tix not 21 day) now on Disney.com would cost us around £6k, if thats the price they are wanting now I can't see them discounting down to £2k for UK travellers.

This whole subject confuses me :S so is free DDP a anual thing?

Will it happen this year?

sorry i bet this is asked 1000's of times

No-one knows yet if they will offer it again for next year but it seems to be working for them, its even tempted me back onsite this year and I prefer offsite, price was too good to resist. I think it will be offered again but not expecting rates to be as good as they were this year.

You just never know, but it has been offered now for the last 4 years but this year could have been the last. It is just a case of waiting.

As FDDP was offered for this summer last summer to UK visitors, then based on past experience, it is highly likely that Disney.com (US site), will offer the free dinning plan for this summer. It is usually released in April. I have asked this same question over on the US boards.

Of course there is no guarantee, but I would suspect it is highly likely, due to hotel bookings being down at an all time low. So I would wait for now.

VH are offering a deal at the moment, but on what I've looked at, it looks like they have hiked the prices up, to include the food, and called it free dining.

The normal cheaper offer, is always made from around mid August, for the following year August to early Oct.
