If what I saw for maybe free dinning coming out for Aug 15th to Sept 30th is correct,would it still be like before and as long as you checked in on Sept. 30th,the rest of your stay would also be free dinning?I know that sometimes things change and I really need to know ASAP.Thanks

That's how it's always been in the past, but we won't know until the official release tomorow or Friday.

In the past, you must check in by the last day of the promotion, and then you can get the free dining for the length of stay (up to 14 days) (with a three night minimum). Not sure if this will be the case still , but it worked for us last year on FD promo.

I booked our CBR room (9/19-23) with the AAA discount. If a FD pin comes out and I get it, can I use both the AAA discount and free dining during my visit?

No you can only use one discount.

I hope that this is true. I am changing my trip if it is. We have NEVER been able to take advantage of free dining because it's always over before we get there.

I was curious about this too. I know they changed the rules about checking in on the last day of value season and paying value price for the whole trip like you used to be able to do...now you pay each night seperate BUT is that the same case for promotions like free dining? Do your dates have to fall within the promotion dates or can you check in on the last day and take advantage for your whole trip???

Anyone else think they know for sure??

If I arrive on 8/10 and check out on 8/19, would I be entitled to free dining? For the whole time? What happens since I booked through AAA?

If it works the way it has in the past you will not be able to take advantage of this offer unless you actually make 2 reservations. One for 8/10 - 8/16 and the other for 8/16 - 8/19. You would have to get at least 1 day tickets with the 8/16 - 8/19 to be eligible for FD.

Okay, I just called Disney and got the answer to our questions! She said, the dates are for check-in. In other words since the dates are until 10/3, you can check-in on, say, 10/2 and still take advantage of free dining for your entire stay.

I just got off the phone with disney.
The CM told me the DV fd ends on Oct 3rd.

She told me this year fd will end on 10/3 for those booking with the dv ryi code.

I told her that is hard to believe as all the other years, as long as a person checked in by the last day of fd, it was extended for their entire stay up to 10 days.

The CM still insisted that the DV code w/fd ends oct 3rd.

No, that's incorrect. My SIL called me about 10 minutes ago and said she just booked their stay for when their kids are on fall break. They are checking in on October 3 and checking out on October 10 and they have free dining for their entire stay.

This is correct. I booked us at PoFQ from 10/3 to 10/10 and we have free dinging the entire time.

Is the POFQ better or is the PORS better? I can't decide.

Just added the Free Dining Plan to our trip at Pop Aug 23-30. It's the basic plan which is great for my family. I am a Disney Visa card holder and I called Disney and was able to add it to my package. They offered me to upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan for about $800.00 more, but it's too much money and food for our family. Besides I wanted something for free after all these years. Can't wait until May 25 to start making AD's. Good Luck to everyone else and I wish you all get the FD for your trips. I just love the disboards!!!
