free dining ?

Ok, maybe I'm just not in the loop but I'll be at WDW from Aug. 21-26 and I keep reading posts alluding to "free dining" starting that week. What's up and where can I get more info.

The window for booking the free dining package ended July 3rd for ressies between August 21 and October 4...you had to add the free dining before 7/3.

The Free dining was done by July 3rd as previously stated. However, I would call WDW and tell them that you want the deal and had booked without knowing. Maybe (although doubtful) they would extend the offer to you. It's worth a try, Disney CM's sometimes surprise you!

Hmm. I booked my room and passes thru AAA. Was the free dining only available if you booked a package thru Disney?
If I do call and ask for it, what number do I call?

The free dining couldn't be combined with any other offers (AAA for example)

I booked through AAA and we are going late Aug. We were able to change our package to the free dining (before the July 3 cut-off though). We did lose our AAA room discount, but all in all, saved almost $700.

I would assume you are working with a travel agent through AAA. If so, have them call - they may carry more weight anyway. It is too bad your TA didn't catch the deal. I had to tell mine about it, but she was able to share it with other clients who were most grateful as you can imagine

I, too, had originally booked with a AAA discount. When I contacted my AAA agent to ask about changing the booking to get the free dining, she handled it no problem. My 2 kids are 'adult' age, so losing my $200 AAA discount to get $1300 of free dining was a no brainer.
