Free dining.

My freaking AA agent can't get through...and she informed me that "I have appointments so I can't stay on the phone all day". GRRRRR!!!! I have had nothing but attitude from this woman since we booked! I realize you can't stay on the phone all day, but NEVER tell the customer this! Next time, I will either book directly through Disney, or make sure the AAA person is a Disney expert. The fact that I knew more about WDW than her should have been a red flag.

Anyway, good luck to everyone...hopefully, I can get mine for September some time today!


If you have a confirmation number, which you should since you can find that info on MDE you can call disney directly. No need to wait for your TA
 
It looks like they are no longer honoring the "check in" by date. It used to be that if you checked in by the last day of the bracket of dates, FD would be applied to your whole trip. The website isn't allowing that.
 
TA is there for you. If not, book new yourself and cancel.

Remember there are TAs like DU that state they will search and try to apply discounts from booking to travel. Most TAs Do not say this because frankly reducing your price reduces their commission.

If certain dates, resorts, etc are important I would not hesitate to book new.

Look at the "Special Offers" section on the lower part of the Disney website. There are resort discounts through 10/3. I just booked one this morning.
 
I'm so frustrated (I'm sure I'm not the only one)trying to book starting 12/20 and getting an error message saying my dates aren't valid for this offer. Can't get through over the phone. I'll keep trying!
 
If some gets through and finds out if this no longer applies for a length of stay can you reply on the DisBoards? Would like to check in Dec. 20 through the holiday and have had FD in the past for our entire stay.... Have to rethink also - MUST purchase park hoppers....hmmmm.

It is not length of stay. My stay is 10/30-11/8 I got free dining

I just booked 12/20-12/27 in a pirate themed water view room at CBR for 2 adults, 2 kids. I wanted CBR preferred or CSR preferred, but it wasn't available with free dining.
I'm so happy I got through, but I'm going to keep checking until free dining expires for a cancelation.

We called the manager at AAA and she was quite ticked at the service we were given. They got on the phones immediately and finally got through, but it's a 2 1/12 hour wait time. I still can't get through.

Wow! I thought I would have to wait a long time, but when I finally got through I only waited 3 minutes for someone to answer and was on the phone total less than 20 minutes.

Yes, they are. My sister just booked this morning for November 19th this morning and got the discount through their entire stay, through Thanksgiving week. And I modified my reservations this morning for check in on December 17 and check out on December 23 and it's discounted for our entire stay.

You can call and change your resorts and they will modify your reservation and you do NOT have to cancel or rebook your reservation. We have stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms and were lucky to get a Free Dining pin for those rooms when they first opened and while they are cute, I would NEVER pay full price to stay in those rooms, they are too far from the bus stop and the food court and are exactly the same rooms as all of the other Standard rooms at all of the other value resorts.

Also, I would wait until tomorrow or the next day to call about dining reservations, the WDW phone lines will be insane for the next couple of days.
 
SOOOO freakin happy! I already had my ressie for 11/8- 11/15, with the Deluxe Dining Plan. I was hoping FD would come out for these dates (although it wasn't a dealbreaker if not) and it did!! So yeah.... it took me at least an hour to get through and another 1.5 hours on hold- but then I got an awesome rep (Rory) who applied the FD credit to my existing res and saved me $526.00! No canceling or rebooking, as prev poster said. So easy!! That part took all of 10 minutes. It was more than worth it and I am doing my HAPPY DANCE!!

Just wanted to say... Happy for all you who are getting FD! We had it through a BB offer already, and know how important it is for us. Wouldn't go to WDW without it.
