Free Dining?

Traditionally they offered it during the end of hurricane season to fill their hotels. Aug - Sept time frame. Then the recession hit and last year they offered it for a large part of the year. Now with rumblings of a better economy it's any ones guess when or if they offer it at all

Even without free dining, there are often good deals to be had. Keep an eye out for the room discounts, or you can always rent DVC points cheaply. DVC point renting works better if you are searching between 7 and 11 months ahead of your vacation, although I just got my friend a 5-night, 2-bedroom January stay at Bay Lake Tower about 2 months out, which cost him $2,080 instead of over $4,000 rack rate that he had signed up for (and was able to cancel).

I would like that deal too. Points intimidate me and I don't know enough about them to feel comfortable buying them. How do you know they're legit?

A few years ago they would typically have free dining for August/September which as pp stated is prime hurricane season. It was usually announced in the first part of April.

That being said, the last couple of years they have done free dining during a few different times of year, and the differences of course have to do with the type of plan offered depending on the resort you choose.

I hope they do something soon, I havent been to WDW in a few years and I would really like to take just me and my daughter in May. The current promotions don't cover May. :(
