Free Dining

RUMOR: Someone on the DVC planning thread mentioned that he/she heard free dining for the general public is being announced on the 30th.

No other information is posted--dates, etc. If it is true, that would be great for all of those waiting for the free dining promotion.

That's awesome, I hope it's true. We are going for the first time in May, but I was considering driving down for a few days in september IF they offer the free dining.

I would guess they would offer it this year...especially with all the other promos they have to try to entice people to come.

Cool....that's good to hear.....I don't think we'll be able to participate....but good luck to everyone whom will be able to make the most it.....I know there are loads of people whom not had any discounts come their way....so this would be great for them....

I have been hearing lots of rumblings about this lately. Usually when you hear consistent rumblings reguarding this...they seem to be true.

I am wondering...do you think they will sweeten the pot this year with the free dining? If they are having a hard time getting people in up seasons, will they have an even more difficult time filling it for value season. I am hoping for a gift card.

This will be our first year doing the fdp where we have to tip...(Third year doing the fdp). I'm all for tipping, for sure...I probably over tip because I was once a waitress...but I don't feel like I should HAVE to because there have been certain instances where I have gotten horrible service. We will be a party of 7, so...it is charged. Is there a tipping thread? I need to read up on this because it is getting close!

I have been holding off on planning a trip for the last week in Aug 09, because I am hoping they come out with packages which include the FDD. The current promotion only goes up to Aug 15 and that booking ends on March 29. So I am betting they will come out with new packages sometime after March 30. Let's hope we get some good deals.

We had an one incident last week of bad service. We never said anything that night, but my sister went by the next day just to say how bad the service was and the manager said that had we said something at the time they would have removed the tip from the bill. So if your service is terrible let the manger know!
