Free Dining Value guests hoping for SSR-OKW again

Maybe they weren't mixed up at all- maybe they never sent Starbox a code because they knew Starbox would be coming back with or without an incentive. It was Daddy Starbox that needed the carrot dangled - ok so he didn't bite- but perhaps others did.

I love the image and the name - sounds like something from the musical Annie. Daddy Starbox absolutely needs a carrot dangled if he's going to brave the Disney waters! He has bad Disney memories.

But honestly, if the upgrades are coming from marketing, marketing to retired, late 60's, fixed income couples with no children is probably not the best use of those marketing dollars. I'm just sayin.

Remember that some of those late 60's retired, fixed income, no kids couples sell off everything, by a motorhome and travel all year. Some will sell their larger multi-bedroom homes, move to smaller digs, and spend $$ on leisure, including timeshares. Some folks in that age group bought family homes in the $30K range that are now worth several hundred thousands of dollars.

Daddy Starbox- maybe we could make a musical about turning an aging, anti-Disney codger into a euphorically happy fellow frolicking through Disney World through the use of misdirected pin-code discounts!!! :lmao:

I agree- it sounds like an error- but who knows. Just as Spiceycat was saying POP people- despite conventional wisdom on these boards-they may very well have been an excellent target marketing group for DVC- perhaps moreso than the mod guests- It seems wrong- but who knows. My mom would have bit the carrot- and she fits in with your Dad's demographic.

(I LOVE POP and stayed there and at the values many more times than mods or deluxes before buying DVC- I always thoughtof myself as more of the exception- but maybe not)

My sister lives in a villa developement and that pretty much describes quite a few of her neighbors. A few have the big honking motorhome that they use to travel in during the winter months and a few have timeshares, and a couple have 2nd homes(FL, SC and NC seem to be popular).

Maybe I should start talking up DVC to them, especially when they do a referral special. :rotfl:
