Free Dining Upgrade question

I know when you stay at a Value during free dining you get "Magic Your Way Quick Service dining" meals.

I need to know how much is it to upgrade to "Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining".

I can't remember if it's
$20 Adult (10 and over) & $15 for Children
$25 Adult (10 and over) & $20 for Children


My sister is looking to go and wants to try plus dining. She has 6 kids (yea, I know she's crazy LOL). The kids range from 18, 11, 10, 9, 7 and almost 2.

I don't know the official policy, but the price different between plans is $20/adult and $3/child.

Quick Service:
Adult - 39.64/night booked
Child - 15.75/night booked

Regular Dining:
Adult - 58.66/night booked
Child - 18.88/night booked

19.02 for adult is the difference and 3.13 for a child if i did the math right. to me that is worth the cost of upgrading.

Maybe not when you have 6 kids and 3 of them are Disney adults. Not to mention all the extra in tips!

And one of them is under the age of 3, so that child would not get "free" dining at all. The kid is still going to need to eat but the OP's sister will either need to share meals with the child or else pay OOP for his/her meals at CS locations.

We are a family of four Disney adults and wanted to do this last year with Free Dining. We found that once we paid to upgrade everyone, it was less than $100 difference for our week-long stay to just upgrade to a Moderate resort and get the regular dining included instead of QS. So we ended up at POFQ with regular dining for basically the same price as if we had stayed at a Value and upgraded the dining plan.

You might want to play with the numbers and see if it's worth changing resorts!

Thank you... I too upgraded to a mod last year but I only needed 1 room so it was worth it for me. I did the math for upgrading them compared to moving to 2 mod rooms and it would be like an extra $1,000.00. Not worth it for them.

The almost 3 year old is a light eater so she will be fine sharing mommy or Daddy's.

I will play with the pricing again over the weekend. It gives me something to do since my next trip is like 223 days away.
