I booked back in Feb. (I know it's taboo) and pay as I go. I haven't made a payment in over a month. BECAUSE I want to know what my final payment will be. I am going with or without FD... but getting some kind of discount would really help with the cost...

IMHO, absolutely nothing wrong with booking in Feb. You have made up your mind to go regardless of the deal and you are welcome to book your trip whenever you please.

I too have the full amount saved for my trip and am just holding off paying it in full until I find out what my actual price is. I believe that eventually they will do new resrvations only on these deals, but I don't think it will be this year, so I am not worried about already being booked. No matter what happens, I am going to Disney World!!!!! I can't wait. The time was flying by until I started waiting for free dining, now it is crawling.

I am going in September and have stopped making payments on my vaca. The balance that is left is the approximate cost that will be deducted should FD come out and an additional $200 just in case I need to put the $200 on my Disney Visa to get the FD earlier than the public.

We are going with or without the FD; but ***LISTEN UP DISNEY*** having the extra cash means more money to spend on souveneirs in the parks.

I know that the CMs don't really know anything, but I remember reading on a thread that the CMs said they got a memo this week. Anyway, I asked her about it and asked about Fall promotions. She said the next promotions will be for fall, and I should keep an eye on the internet during the last week of the month....

I know it's probably speculation, but it's hope! Ugh! More waiting.

I actually read somewhere on hear that calling was one of the best ways NOT to get a pin.

I had been keeping an eye on this thread for the first 20 or so pages; now I'm totally lost and refuse to go back and read everything!

My story is this - I had free dining last September, am KICKING myself for not bouncing back, and have just booked our trip for this September.

Since we are staying at a Value, Free Dining would be a great deal. My fingers (and if I'm in comfy shoes, my toes, too) are crossed, and I'm finally posting in this thread to sub.

That said - if Free Dining doesn't come out, I'm still going. I'm just so thrilled that I can go, that actually paying for my food doesn't bother me!

Well, if that is the case I have nothing to worry about. I have called twice and both times I have had the rudest CMs out there who will not even look up my confirmation number. They will not even pull up my reservation, they do not even ask my name, they do not ask for anything. They were just rude SO they have no way of knowing who I am, lol!

That's awful. I actually had a pin that I found out about by calling back in January, and the guy who helped me was awesome. The rooms for my discount were sold out, so he upgraded me to RPC for free. I wish I remembered his name.

That is exactly why I started not worrying about it. I either get a cheaper price or less people. Either way it is a win win situation, imo.

Not so sure this is true. I've been trying for probably about 6 to 8 months to receive a pin. Done everything they tell you to do and have never received one. I did call at the beginning of August to see if I had a pin attached to my name and I did. I ended up booking because it was a deal, and one way or another, we were going regardless. A week later, I received my very first pin in my email. Ofcourse, it's a better pin than what I had when I called but I'm just going to deal with what I have or wait to see if something better comes along in the end.

You can *always* cancel it. It's only a $200 hold. And you can play with your dates. You're not locked in. Pick a random date and go for it. No problem changing it.

I'm booked at a Value, for free dining for 15 days in September ~ Bounce Back.

I realize that Disney is concentrating on Summer, but they are gonna cut it close on fall reservations.

We also have to save up on getting there and it may mean eating pb&j on the drive down... or actual food!!!

Im in the same boat!!! and im willing to give it to them but they need to make the offers first!!!
