Free Dining ticket question

DH, myself, and my 6 year old all have APs. My dd turned three this year, so she does not. We are thinking about squeezing in one more trip before the APs expire on 1/31. I know the AP rates haven't come out for January, but I am just trying to run as many "disney math" scenarios as possible.

Here's my question...if we were to do the free dining deal at a mod, and we purchased 2 day tickets for the four of us (2A, 2C), could we take the tickets off of our KTW cards and let my dd use them? I think we are planning on going for five days. I'm not sure if the tickets would have our names on them or if they were transferable.

My next option is to wait for the AP deals to come out and then purchase her ticket through undercover, but if history repeats I will have several months to wait and obsess.

Thanks for the help!

the tickets can be used by anyone, but not a good use of them to have someone use them like that. A 2 day is only a little difference in cost from the 5 day. I would just upgrade the little ones ticket to the 5 day and keep the rest. Also, I'm assuming you might want parkhoppers since you all have APs. You can keep the 3 unused 2 day tickets for ANYONE to use, the name doesn't matter if not used. You might want to use the younger childs ticket during FD and the other child that already has a APs ticket in Jan. It might also be worth it to upgrade the younger child to AP in FD. Not sure which is best for you. Mark them with a sharpie that they are 2 day unused tickets or have guest services remove them from your key card (either way it doesn't matter) Most likely there will be AP discounts for Jan, but there are GP discounts through mid Feb so you can make that res. if you like.

Thanks for writing all that out. I thought of most of what you wrote later last night, but I guess I was excited about the possibility of a new idea. We only have APs because we upgraded our 4/3 tickets to APs super cheap after we made them 9 day no-expiration. I don't think we'll be getting them again in the future, so we really don't need save the extra tickets for anything. But I still think our cheapest bet would be to wait until the Jan AP rates.
