Free dining questions?

Is this offered the same weeks every year? If so what are those weeks? We are planning a trip in 2017 and have not been to Disney for 7 years so not sure what has changed. Also, how far ahead are those weeks announced? Thanks for your help!

The dates have been known to change. Availability at each resort can be limited. The terms of the package can change (they were once *free* DDP for all resorts and now the Value Resorts get free QSDP, they used to require only 1-day tickets per person on the package and now it's a miniimum of 2 days with either hopping or waterparks).

I think it is on its way out in favor of Stay, Play, Dine which amounts to about 45% off dining. You used to be able to get free dining for our travel weeks, but not now!

Does that mean 45% discount on your room, tickets and dining?
Also, how far ahead are free dining discounts published?
