I am new here so please forgive me if this has been answered already. Here are my questions: We are FL residents and have seasonal passes. Does this mean that we can't get the free dining if we book a Disney hotel for 3 days during the Free DDP dates? We would have to also each get a 1 day pass?

Also, the DDP (not the free dining part) is only for guests staying on property, right? We're going up in a few weeks but we're not staying on property so we can't sign up for the DDP, right?

Being that we live in FL, we go up 3-5 times a year. You would think I would know all about this stuff, but we've never done the dining since our trips are usually quick 2-3 day trips and we try to keep the costs down.

Thank you in advance for your help! :)

As far as I know you have to stay onsite, book at least 3 nights (rack rate so Values are most worth it) and up to 14 and purchase at least a 1 day pass for each person. We are AP holders and did the FD last year and that's the was it was. You can get the Tables in Wonderland card as a FL resident and get 20% off meals in many TS and a few CS restaurants and not stay onsite or purchase the 1 day pass. The one day pass can be kept for the future and used to upgrade to another ticket so it's not a waste of money. Now we will have 4 with the FD from last fall and the free $500 gift card next month. Our APs expire after this trip so I guess we will use one each to put towards that cost in the future.

Thanks for the info. :) Good to know we could just get the 1 day passes and save them for when we renew our seasonal pass. What is the $500 gift card?

The $500 gift card was an offer sent in the mail with a 15 digit pin code. All you had to do was book a room at rack rate (same as free dining requirement), stay at least 5 nights for $500 gift card and purchase a 1 day pass. I haven't heard much about it on the boards, so I don't know how many received it but I received it as well as my husband! We actually had 2 pins, not that we needed 2 but both of us received it. I actually received mine in my maiden name (married 4 years and have visited WDW 3 times since and have APs) I guess they were working off an old list or something who knows. The PIN can only be used by those it was sent to, actually when I called the phone number on the card we received, they asked for the pin and the CM already knew who was on the phone. No rhyme or reason as to who gets those offers. I'm just glad we did, another offer where the Value makes out the best due to having to pay the rack rate (no AP discount) Hope this helps!!

Congrats on getting such a great offer. Thanks for the info. :)
