If I book a package through AAA and then the free dining comes out can I just have my AAA Agent apply the free dining to the reservation? I keep reading about having to pay rack rate to get the free dining, but I thought I remember reading about people who were able to just apply the free dining to their existing AAA package reservation, and thus keep the AAA discount on the room portion of the package.

Has anyone been able to get the AAA package discount and then add the free dining to it?

No this year - because free dining is not officially available to the general public.

Guests who have already been able to book one of two limited-availability free dining offers did not use AAA:
Group One: Residents of the United Kingdom - do not have access to American Automobile Association Travel Agents.
Group Two: Bounceback Guests who booked their August/September 2007 packages directly with Disney, either face to face or by calling a particular phone number from their Disney resort rooms also did not have access to AAA Travel Agents.

For the rest of us? It's still just a bunch of rumors.

Thanks Kay....I understand that free dining is just a rumor at this point...my question was directed at past years' free dining promotions that were available to the general public....was anyone able to add the free dining (in past years) to a previously booked AAA package without losing the AAA discount on the room portion of the reservation???

TRUE ! If like last year.........
If an agent is good and works with you as mine did last year you get BOTH discounts with AAA. I have only posted this fact about a dozen times! They subtracted the cost of dining from an existing package that I already had and I kept the lower price of the room. Maybe the key is to have an existing package when the free DDP kicks in!
Which I have done again this year............:cool1:

I did free dining the past two years. Both of my packages were booked through AAA. I was Not able to combine discounts. In 2005 I already had a package booked with AAA when I received a post card for the free dining. I called CRO. They said my AAA agent could change my reservation. She did and I lost the AAA discount (which was only $200 for a moderate).

I'd be surprised if an agent could combine discounts - Disney doesn't tend to stack discounts, and AAA books through Disney...

It really doesn't make good business sense, does it? Why would they offer a room discount with free dining? Can't square it in my mind.

I know, I know, Mickey2000, you had it last year :goodvibes

Mickey, can you also please PM me your AAA agent info. Thanks!!

I'd like to see a PDF of the itinerary showing the double discount. As an AAA booker and free dining recipient for 2 years running, I've yet to find anyone who can stack codes.

:confused3
