Free Dining Question

I am sure I know the answer to this question but I just want to double check.

A friend called this morning to book with free dining staying at Pop Century. She asked if she could upgrade it to the Regular Dining Plan (obv paying the difference) and the CM told her no. Was she given wrong info? Can't she upgrade from the QS to the regular dining plan by paying the difference?

That was wrong information. I did the exact same thing. We had a Pop reservation and then paid the difference for the upgrade to regualr. I think it cost about $285 for the upgrade for us. I would call back.

Tell her to call back. For the past three years, including our trip in September, we have done FD at a value and upgraded the QS plan to the regular DP. (for a cost)

Yes, you can upgrade at a cost. In fact, it's clearly written in the terms listed on the wdw website for this offer.

Yep you sure can. You can even do it on the website by changing the dining plan option, it just upcharges the difference.
