Free Dining Question - PLEASE help!

This question is for my uncle, and I have no idea. I am a DVC Member, so don't usually book hotels. He is looking at taking his family for 6 nights, arriving March 22nd. The free dining check in dates are March 3-8 and 24-29, so he is checking in 2 days before the 24th.

I suggested he make 2 ressies, one for 2 nights (22nd and 23rd), then one for 4 nights (24th - 27th). That would give him free dining for the second part of his trip.

BUT my question is, can he somehow get the tickets that he will have to buy with the package that starts on the 24th, and use them for his first 2 days (22nd and 23rd)?

At this time, you can pick up package tickets 3 days early. Check the ticket sticky @ the top of the theme parks board for details.
