We are thinking about next year-if we go at that time of year and they offer free dining. If we buy park tickets from AAA and arrange for the room ourselves, can we still get the free dining? Or it all or nothing?

In order to get free dining (or the dining plan in general)you must purchase a package.

You have to book your room and at least a one day ticket for each member in your party.
