Sorry if this is repetitive but I'm suprised Disney doesnt send any info when you book the dining package. We have been to WDW 3 times (without the dining) and I am still somewhat overwhelmed. I think they should send a list of all the places to eat and if they are counter/table with your reservation form. I am finding it hard to decide where to eat and when to eat and at what park for our September trip. I guess it's hard to decide several weeks in advance.

hi,

here is the link where you can see all the participating restaurants in the dining plan,

http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...gespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/MYWDining.pdf

i would very strongly advise you to go ahead and plan your table service meals and make advanced dining reservations now for them. with the free dining plan disney is expected to be more crowded and the nicer restaurants like le cellier and cinderellas are beginning to book up for september. if you decide to not make advanced dining reservations you may be very disappointed when you aren't able to get into any nice places to eat in september because they are booked. we are going mid september and i made all my adrs on the 90 day window. good luck.

Definitely print out the PDF file that Beauty linked to. That will give you all of the info on what restaurants are TS, CS etc.

What I did is build a schedule and filled in which parks had Extra Magic Hours.

You can get that info from Disney's web site HERE.

Then, I went to the menus HERE and picked the restaurants I wanted to eat at in eat park and list them in the schedule for the appropriate day for EMH. I added a 2nd or even 3rd choice from a particular park in case a restaurant is filled.

I then called (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463), went through my schedule, figured out what they had available for the times I wanted and booked everything. I ended up with all the times/restaurants I wanted, although I did have to swap days around with a couple of them.

Good Luck

Thanks for your help. I never thought with being to WDW 3 times before that I would feel overwhelmed!! Do you think that Disney should send this info with your reservation? Obviously, I am lucky to have disboards and mousesavers but what about everyone that does not have knowledge or access?

I definitely agree that Disney should send the documentation with the confirmation of your ressie. I don't know why they don't. When I got my confirmation in the mail and no info on the dining plan, I called them....they pointed me to their dining page with the pdf doc on it.

My guess is that if they are looking at changing the plan soon, they don't want to include documentation in our confirmation because then they will have many more complaints when it was changed (especially for those that never read the boards and show up expecting it to work one way and find out it doesn't after they eat a few meals!)

For whatever reason, my computer freaks :badpc: everytime I try to open a pdf document. Does anyone have the dining info or a link to it in a form other than pdf? TIA

We just got our "final papers" in the mail today. Next to the dining features on the Guest Itinerary there were *'s. (next to table service meal, counter service meal and snack.)Below this was a note that * means that "this feature is available at your hotel upon check-in." This made me a tad nervous as we have the "free dining" with our package and it stated as such on all of our past reservation confirmations-but not on the final papers. My husband did call Disney and the CM said this was normal and assured us that we do have the free dining plan. Should I relax or be nervous?? Planning my first trip to WDW can be sooo stressful!! heehee :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

I think that just means that your dining credits are attached to your room key and you will not be receiving them in the mail.
I was told I would get a dining pamplet with my confirmation letter and did not. grrr...

Yes I've noticed WDW trys to keep us in the dark about many things thank goodness for the internet

What do you mean? What is Souvenier Money and why would anything happen to it if you book through the regular dining number?

the poster means you should use the 1-800 # (or 877, or whatever) to avoid spending hard earned cash on a long distance, painfully long and drawn out phone call. Save your $ for souvies! :)

Doh.....I've been zoomed :teeth:

Unlimited long distance has it's advantages

When you check-in to your hotel they will give you the same dining pamphlet that is available on their website... at least that's what they did for us last month... doesn't help much for those of us that like to make our ADR's in advance!

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling. That sometimes fixes adobe reader problems.
