I couldn't be more pleased with our dining experience. We went from Oct.1 to Oct.8. As 3 adults, we spent the equivalent of over a $1000 for the time we were there and we even had a vegetarian in our party.

This has convinced me to buy the dining plan for our next trip. Disney won me over big time, here.

I love the convenience of eating in the parks or resorts for all meals. We use to do it for one meal a day anyway at Disney and then we would go somewheres outside of Disney for another meal each day. It saves a lot of time staying on the premises and it is more magical, too. It keeps you focused on Disney and Disney only. I believe you get more emerged into the whole experience with all your meals on the premises. It's a great rest to do it for lunch at the parks. It replaced the need for a nap on some days for us.

I feel very lucky to have this experience for free. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We absolutely loved it also. Originally we were paying for it, then received a code for free dining.

We had 17 snack credits and 3 counter service credits left (had 40 of each). I could not believe it. We never used up the snack credits because when we got a counter service meal for lunch we would each get water and no dessert. Then, later when we wanted a snack, we would be able to get an ice cream from either our receipt or a token.

Really?? I wonder if they still do that? Did you have to go back to the original place to get your dessert or could you go anyplace to get it? I've not heard of being able to do this and would love to hear more details!

We too are sold on the dining plan

We drove to Disney; so, on the last day we used our 17 leftover snack credits to go. We took mostly bottled juices and water. I'm drinking one, right now. Kudos on the plan!

We loved it too! I would definitely pay for it next time! It is such a great value, especially when we got to eat at places like Le Cellier and California Grill...boy were they great!! I love the convenience of it and not having to worry about money so much...it was great. Some people mentioned they would not do it because it was too much food for them...HELLO!!! You do not need to order everything they offer you! Even if you skip a desert or appetizer here or there you will still get your money's worth if you are paying for it. We had 1 CS left over and were fine with it. Everyone is different though...For us it will be something we wouldn't be able to refuse in the future!

It depended on the place and what type of dessert they were offering. Some places gave us tokens in which we used at ice cream carts later in the day. If tokens were not available, and if you take the dessert with the rest of the meal, they will tear your receipt. If your receipt is not torn, that means you did not get a dessert and can go back to get one later.

Also, since there were four of us, we always had four waters with our meals and shared two of them and took two with us. Then, later in the day, we traded them in for cold ones from a water cart.

With our 17 snack credits left, we also brough home 17 Mickey rice crispy treats.

It is really a good deal for the guests. What would the people who complain about all the food do on a cruise?

We loved the dining plan.
We had so many snack credits left on our last day, so the evening before we left we used all of them to buy chocolate dipped Mickey rice krispie treats on a stick.
We passed them out to relatives and neighbors when we got home yesterday.
That was a huge hit with everyone.

We just got back Friday from our trip with free dining and we will also be purchasing it next time! It was so great. We were going to have 1 TS credit left, but we found a family on our way out and bought them one of their lunches at the food court. It was their first time there, so we were happy to spread some pixie dust! :flower:

That's what we wanted to do but I ended up getting a cold on our last day there ( still sick ugh) so we didn't get a chance to do that :( What a bummer...I would have love to spread some pixie dust but was afraid I'd spread a cold instead

disneyfamilyoffour, any chance you remember which places would give you the token or the receipt? I am hoping that would work out for us...I was thinking we'd have to bring a little cooler to carry around our too-full-to-eat-now desserts lol!

I definitely remember that TL gave tokens and BB gave out receipts. I will check my receipts (I save them all) to see about the other places and post back here. I also remember that it is something that I always asked when ordering--it was never voluntered.
