Free Dining Past October 2nd 2010-Pins are out to 12/24

As of this morning, May 12, 2010, Free Dining Pins are being sent to some board members that offer free dining through December 24th. A moderator will update this post as more details become available.














I have heard of the great news for free DP for the fall, I go every Fall and usually bounce back while I am there, unfortunately I did not bounce back last year for this year. But my question is last year Free dining was offered again after the fall free dinning promotion, I had received an email with a pin code I cant remember the dates but I do know they went to December 2009, does anyone remember the dates and when they found out about the promotion, I am thinking about maybe trying to wait around to see if it is offered again. I would love to go to WDW during the Christmas season would love to see all the decorations, lights, parades and parties, also if you could share with me how the crowds and weather is thinking about going the second week in December! I too would like to know the answer to this. If this is offered again, can I add it to my existing reservation? I would like to upgrade to the DxDP. I posted in another thread where they were talking about this same thing but so far no one has seemed to posted anything about this later offer from last year.

We also got the pin and used it last year. I think the pin was from Disney destinations and was good to upgrade the QSDP which was offered free to the regular DDP free. That ran till mid Dec. We went the last week in Oct. I don't remember when we recieved the pin I guess sometime in the summer, we would also like to go again this year. My only problen is I got the pin at my work e-mail and in 3 week this Company will no longer exist, I have to figure how to get the pin at my home computer.

It doesn’t look like the December Free dinning is a constant promotion like the Fall free dinning, was last year the first time that free dining was offered in December, I really would rather go in December, and cancel my trip for September

I think last year was the first time they offered FD so late. There were more restrictions and conditions and seemed to be more blackout dates for the later FD promotion, although I don't recall the specifics.

There were a couple of blackout dates around Thanksgiving Day. That was it. Other than that, if you checked in between September 28 and December 17 you could get free dining. It was also the first time WDW offered US guests free quick service dining if they booked a value resort.

That was the first time such a general public offer was ever made. Therefore there is no way to know if they'll do it again. It will depend on if Disney thinks they need it to fill rooms.

There was also an offer in 2008. I believe it was for Disney Visa card holders. I went 2nd week of December and had the regular dining plan at a value.

booked a trip a couple weeks ago - hoping for free dining, but the cut off is oct 2nd i am going oct 14th through 21st. you think they would extend the free dining?

No way to know. It's only been done once for the general public, in 2009.

I received a card with a pin for free dining this summer, but we would rather go during fall break the end of October. Did Disney extend free DDP through Oct last year? I can't remember. It won't keep us from going but it is a great perk.

Now that the general Free Dining program has officially been announced, and ends on October 2nd, we've been getting quite a few threads asking "Will it go past October 2nd" in some various form. In fact there were three threads on the first page.

In order to keep the DDP board cleaner, and enable everyone to ask dining plan questions and get answered (even those that don't get free dining), I am setting up a discussion thread for October 3rd 2010 and Beyond. The existing threads I found were already combined into this thread, and others will be moved here as needed.

Check the Mousesavers page on historical discount trends that was posted. There have been PIN codes released pretty steadily for the fall period for the past few years. 2009 was the only year a general public offer was made for that period.

Thats what I noticed the FDPromotion has been pretty constant for the fall but I did not see the FDPromotion offered till December but the one time and that was last year. I have booked for Sept 19th my final payment is due I think August the 5th I just pray that if they have the FDPromotion in Decemember that it will be announced before my final payment!

No free dining bouncebacks have ever been offered for December.

TDC NALA maybe I was not clear on my ?Those of us that did FD last Aug and Sept 2009 had the oppurtunity to bounceback this year for FD 2010. When they extended the FD in 2009 till Dec were the FD flyers still around for those that came in Dec?did those people get the chance to bounce back for August & Sept 2010 Free DP?

They did not have a chance to bounce back to August/September 2010.

The October-December Free Dining Program last year was a completely separate promotion from the standard Free Dining.

They did have a free dining bounceback in August/September 2009 for 2010, but you had to book before October 24. There weren't any after that.

They did not offer any other free dining bounceback for 2010 that could be booked during the October/December public free dining period.
