Free dining open to public - Sunday, March 29

I just spoke to a CM at Disney reservations and she told me the free dining opens tomorrow to the public. I have the Disney Visa, so she might have been just trying to get me to book today, but thought I'd put it out there. It is from 8/16 - 10/3 and all different resorts are included, value to deluxe villas.

Hmmm...interesting. I can't imagine how this is going to work for the general public. I don't think Disney is going to let everyone walk in and eat for free or am I missing something?

This is the package offer Disney puts out for the fall. Book a Magic Your Way Package with room and tickets and they include the basic dining plan for free for specific dates.

I am moving this to the Codes and Rates board.

I just got off thre phone with WDW and was told free dining is not yet open to the general public.............

Did they tell you to call back tomorrow or nothing at all. We booked bounce back in october for 8, but need 3 more rooms for some extended family that want to go with us. If someone had a disney visa this would be so much easier.

I talked to my TA on Friday she called and was told that it would be available to general public on monday. So on your marks set dial.

Everything that I have read said Monday too. I also think that we have to have the code. This is so frustrating waiting on this.

I did see where someone booked it with their visa, and they didn't have the code, but my luck it wouldn't work.

Okay I am a DVC member and usually don't have to worry about this, but I have used up all my points and the DH and I have flights set for Sept 22 - Sept 28th and we would like to book POP.

So what is the phone number to call tomorrow morning and what time does it open up for reservations?

We were very fortunate to be able to stay at the POP in December 2003 right after it opened up and I got to say I love it. Although after a couple of stays I am smarter now about room request in order to avoid the sound of the pitter patter of little feet at 6 AM on their way to the parks.

Not to thread jack, but what is it you request? My dh wants POP, ground floor near the pool...I'm thinking we are in for very early wake ups...lol.

If I remember correctly, last year free dining for the public was available online before the phone lines opened at 7:00am est. Does anyone remember when it was available online, was it at 12:00am est or 6:00am est or sometime in between?

i've just called on the off chance that it would be available today but the CM told me its only available to visa card holders at mo, and it should be available "in the next few days"
