Free Dining Offer before June Discounts

I've been reading all the posts about Free Dining probably being offered this week. Do you think this means no discounts from May 21 until the beginning of Free Dining?

I know we had an AP rate in July last year, but I don't recall the timing of the offer. We're really hoping for an AP rate for our June stay. We'll go even without a discount, but we'll have more spending money (and mom may come with us -- in her OWN room).

It's been a long time since I paid rack rate at Disney and I know I've gotten spoiled.

No I don't think it means that at all. If you look at the allears website you will see the traditional dates they announce the discounts. Disney usually is true to time frames as far as offering discounts. This just happens to be the time when free dining is announced for the summer. A lot of people don't like to travel to Florida in August/September because of school so this promotion is meant to jolt those who were NOT going to originally come to Disney and give them enough time to pay it off. May and June are very popular months so most people have booked. Keep looking, something will come up.
