Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!!

It depends on your party. If you have 2 adults and 2 kids, it's cheaper to stay value and pay difference. Once your kids are Disney adults, the difference is much smaller or the moderate can be cheaper.

We are 2 adults and 3 kids, but the youngest is not quite 2 so she is free. So 2 adults and 2 kids would be cheaper to stay at a value and pay the difference for the regular dining plan?

If they are under 10, I believe yes. At least that was the case on our trips for the last several years. We stayed value and paid to upgrade. Now that my son is a Disney adult, the price is slightly less to stay value and upgrade, but not much, so we are staying moderate. Once both my kids are Disney adults, which will be next year, I think the moderate is the better option.

Well, the cost to upgrade is around $19 per adult per night and about $4-5 per kid per night. So do that math, then price out a mod and see what the difference is!

They are under 10. Thanks so much!

There is a Disney Visa, a Disney Premier Visa and a Disney debit card. All three cards gain you early access to offers. The Disney debit offers the same perks as the Disney Visa, with the exception of earning rewards. In order to get the debit card, you must have a checking account with Chase, and it requires direct deposit or a daily minimum balance to avoid the monthly fee.

When we hit the cardmember photo op at EPCOT, we get two free photos per day because we have a DPV and a Ddebit card. :goodvibes

I have the Disney debit card, what is the photo op at epcot.

Card members have a special private (only your party) meet and greet in EPCOT inside Innoventions West. It is located near the fire safety house at the end of the video game wall. It is a "surprise" meet and greet in that you don't know which characters will be in the room. It is typically two members of the Fab 5. About an hour after you do the meet, you will take the voucher they give you to the photo center and choose your free 5x7. They will add borders or signatures to your photo at no additional cost. The entire session will also be included on your photopass cd if you order one of those. Here are the details from www.disneydebit.com...

Character Meet 'N' Greet at our private Cardmember location

At Walt Disney World® Resort, stop by our private location—reserved just for Cardmembers—to meet and pose with some of your favorite Disney Characters. Get a complimentary 5 x 7 photo, too!
When: Offered daily, 1 PM to 7 PM
Where to go: Innoventions West at Epcot® at Walt Disney World® Resort.
What to do: Just present your Disney's Visa® Debit Card to enter the event.
Why: It's one of the most unique experiences of being a Cardmember!

Do u get free photos w a DV also or just the dvp

You will get one free 5x7 for each account you have. The DV, DPV or the debit. We have the DVP and the debit, so for my free pics, I choose one of the whole family from the session and then one of just the kids with the characters. You can do this one time for each day that you go to EPCOT. Last year we did it twice, so we got 4 free photos. It has to be separate accounts though, so if you and your spouse each have cards, but the numbers are the same, you only get one free photo. They spend a lot of time with each family. Lots of pics to choose from. :goodvibes

Thank you so much, I just have one card so I will go with the group photo.

Thanks for all the info. And your pic is great!

I just have the additional card for DH's account, so unless we hit EPCOT character spot twice, we'll just get 1 pic. Though we do have 2 ADRs at EPCOT so we conceivably could do it. :)

You're welcome and thanks! :goodvibes The hours used to only be 1:30-4:30pm daily, so the recent extended hours have made it much easier to hit it more than once over the course of a trip. Have fun! :goodvibes

If its the same number on both cards, its considered 1 acct. So youll only be able to get 1 free 5x7. If you have 2 cards with 2 different numbers than its considered 2 accts. So 2 free 5x7's. My DH and I both have cards but they are on the same acct with the same number. If you have photopass though you can get all the pictures they take. Youll just have to pay for them.
