so angry.
I went off the rumored Nov 22- Dec 4 dates from weeks past and got shafted.
We fly in the 4th. FD will NOW start on the 12th. I did get 4 RT airfare tix for nothing with points and rewards but the FD would have allowed me to get us our first moderate room. Now we're back to a value and paying for a meal plan. Poop on a stick I tell ya.
Could be worse....could NOT be going to Disney at all. So there is some light.![]()
Question..... I booked our vacation before the price increases went into effect. When I call on the release date to adjust my package to have FD will it adjust with the higher price increase on the tickets??
Oh that's no fun...
Up until the leak today, we had said that some dates could and would likely fall off if the PIN offer sold well...that appears to be what happened. I hate that they killed that whole week though. This is exactly why I don't ever tell people to make concrete plans before official announcements...because things change.
I had said the august dates were off the table and that the dates would fall on most if not all of the PIN dates. That's all the info my sources had at the time, as it was still up in the air on Disney's part at that point. Once they make a decision and that decision leaks, then you end up where we are today.
In fact, other date ranges actually added on a couple days...which is always nice for some folks. It's too bad for those who didn't get pin codes that the week sold so well to those who did receive them. I would have liked to have seen you all get your free dining as well.
But please call and ask if you have a PIN, plead and beg a little, as some people have got a pin just by asking...it never hurts.
I wasn't counting on free dining, but my check in day is November 2 nd, checking out on the 11th. Am I eligible for FD? If so, it would be a big surprise!
Yes, unless you get real lucky, that's what will happen. The free dining however would be more than worth it.
Thank you just wanted that info ahead of time so there were no surprises!! I agree that FD is more than worth it!!! thanks again for the info today!!
Hello all, Excited for the rumors of free dining in November BUT i have a question.
It is rumored to be offered from Nov 11 - whatever.
We wanted to go and check in on the 9th.
Do we still get the free dining???? Or do you have to check in on a day that the free dining is offered?!?!?!?!?
If so, Can I pay for dining for 2 days and then get switched over to free dining?!?!?
Any advise would be great .
We want to stay from the 9th - 18th.
Woohoo! Great news! I have an AoA suite booked with park hoppers. Can I just rebook the same suite with free dining?
So excited for August 1st now! We're booked to check in October 19th at AoA in 2 family suites..
..With a party of 6 adults, a 13, 12, 9 and 8 year old boys.. the free dining will be helpful..
But what's the upgrade difference from the one included at the value resorts, to the regular one?
Yeah the split stay with the cruise in the middle kinda messes stuff up a bit. But we'll be there thurs fri and sat night after our cruise so that's the 3 nights taken care of. I really want to try the POR princess rooms and I figure if we get the free dining I can then justify staying there. It's 4 adults with 2 of us in each room. Otherwise it's 221 a night x 2 for the stya with no free dining. I dunno Iwish I could just rent DVC points again and not deal with this LOL. Min you if room only discounts come out for that time period too that may change things a fair bit. We may stay at POR before the cruise with room only do US/IOA and then WDW when we get back.First take into consideration that to qualify for free dining you to have at least a 3 night stay and 2 days of base park tickets. What is a better deal depends on your family-how many "adults", children, etc. For us, a Value and paying to upgrade is always a better deal, but we are a bigger family. To figure the best deal, add about $19 per day for adults and $3 something per day for child and that will be the upgrade cost for a Value. Also, keep in mind that the Little Mermaid rooms are usually excluded from discounts.
Good Luck!!! And have FuN!! Disney Cruise AND WDW, how AWESOME!!!
Just to add: This year we are staying AoA suites because we thought it was worth the extra money. In the end, go with your heart!!!
If it's include length of stay some people are really going to have some magical Christmas trips.
